Did it on my 98, and I got it to crank! It still won’t turn over. Is there another situation blocking it?

Having viewed your video twice this Purdue Grad: 1990 BS Financial Planning has the following feedbak on your video. First is technical in nature. Too many jump cuts. If you are going to record this video please take time to do so correctly. I'm now 57 living in Los Angeles with decades of work experience. I've even worked in the new media in front of the camera and behind the scenes. You brought up Ivy Leavue education, but You never mentioned your own G.P.A. Sorry, but this is critically important. I knew lots of Engineering students during my 5 years there; yes it took Me too long. Since You used term, 'special place,' regarding priority Purdue University devotes to research I'm going to point out how many billions of dollars Stanford University has received from United States government going back to World War II. Fox Nation has a great series devoted to this. Point being research is area ALL Universities have placed high priority on these days weather they should or not is separate issue. If research is your major beef with Purdue all the Ivy League schools; which Purdue is not, do the same thing. When You mentioned salaries Petrolleum Engineers get You also made it clear the University still tells students what their salary expectations are or will be. Regarding the stability in the Petrolleum field young man job security is always something We worry about these days. Going to a different Engineering school won't change that one bit. As far as work being too difficult and not having time to study for exams. You just contradicted yourself when claiming the level of instruction wasn't good enough. Also, when I attended Purdue they gave us a free or open week before Finals. Through week 14 We sent to class and did our assignments. Week 15 We had to do whatever We thought was best. Then, week 16 Finals. If that has changed please let Me know. But, something tells Me it probably hasn't. Really sorry You don't feel your experience at Purdue Unviersity as a Mechanical Engineering Student has not met your expectations. But, having known many Engineering Students My 5 years there You haven't mentioned anything they didn't experience themselves. Bottom line You haven't enjoyed college as much as You thought You would. With all due respect welcome to the real world. I'm NOT trying to be a jerk, but I am trying to be realistic. I’m considerably older than the Gloomy Gus in this video, but I graduated from Purdue. I have lived in several different states and worked in different areas from patient care to pharmaceuticals. Everywhere I’ve been my Purdue education was respected and praised. The quality of my education helped to forge my success and the strength of Purdue’s reputation opened doors for me. I’m sorry this gentleman’s experience was so lackluster but I truly believe he’s an outlier relative to most Boilermakers.

The issue im having is during the summer here in AZ above 100 degrees I get no crank no start until the sun goes down or early mornings. But when the sun hits the car it won’t crank or start. Already got an ews delete and still having same issues

You are just another victim of Mitch Danielism man. Purdue definitely has a lot more issues than what you covered, especially post covid and how grades are essentially handed over to pat stats. As a former TA there, the problems just all stem from ODOS, the president, and the university senate. Even the part about professors caring about there research all stems from how much more difficult the higher ups treat professors who focus teaching over research.

My car turns over the issue is my injectors are not spraying fuel, but I am Getting fuel to the rail I check the pump it’s good. Any idea?

Hey I got a 98 bmw 318 and I lost my key would it start by turning the ignition switch over behind the lock cylinder? With out the key in the ignition?

Great video. Can confirm EWS f**ks with your car in variety of ways. I have 2002 E39 3.0d and recently swapped engine and auto gearbox for the same engine but manual gearbox. Had the "no crank - no start" situation until I searched the net and found out that the clutch sensor (neutral safety switch) that I wired in was bad. Connected 2 wires on the sensor (black/blue & purple / yellow) and the car started with automatic DME. Now just need to code it so that it knows it has manual gearbox. Even tried swapping EWS & DME from the manual car and trying to hold the key as near as possible to the ring sensor on barrel but to no avail. Didn't want to change the key ignition barrel so left it as it is.

It can be used by eliminating the ews by bypassing the cable and making the car work is an inconvenience.

Hi I have a e39 528i 97 model and car has started then few hours later it will just crank no start. Thought was fuel pump and its relay mate thinks it is the ecu is no good. As connected to scanner and responded with no signal. But I don’t think it’s that.. would you have a suggestion? And my ecu is 5wk9 0322 thx

Have yall done like a swap out on the ews modules, in particular im trying to get an ews from a '99 323i to a 2000 z3 because the chip/transpondent from z3 fob is missing. Would it work if i dont swap the ignition cylinder hence door locks, just put the chip into the key, and the modules on the dash?

This is exactly what’s going on with my 95 e36…drove it the previous day and the next day it was just dead…jacked it up and touched the starter with a screwdriver and the starter was fine…replaced the ignition switch and still nothing so yeah it’s either the ews or dme

Does it work also for bmw e39 from 1997? Manual gearbox. I dont have a key with buttons.

My z3 cranks, but I won't start after the central locking system went bad.. it's a 99 to 2000 model 😅 this car has been nothing but pure problems.. and my bank account is taking a massive hit 😂😢

Thank you for the detailed explanation of the EWS. I have a 2005 mini Cooper and the EWS will no longer recognize my key and I only have one key. I have no crank no start condition. Is there any alternative to the dealership? I do not think that EWS and DME are communicating anymore. This car has not started an over a year. I cannot even find a starter relay in the fuse panels on this Cooper Mini S R53. Let me know if you have any suggestions how to proceed

I have a a0b3 error on my 335d e90 2011 but the car starts fine, unlocks fine ( I do need to be like 5 meters away from it, it won't unlock from a big distance) what could it be ?

I just had a new key made for my e46 m3 and when i go to start it theres a huge delay. Is this a sign of it goin out or just cause i had a new key made. It never does not start but there almost always a semi long delay. I had to send my ews and my original key to the guy that made the key so he could program the new key to it as well.

325 is just a smaller enginez not an older car. Maybe you mean facelift or prefacelift

Had an e61 v 8. Think diag fixed it after i re enabled key one ! Although it said keys were ok i still enabled it again on key one then it started !!!
