Persona 1 and the Persona 2 duology both have great stories and characters if you ever decide to get into them :) People knock them at first glance for the old graphics (and I will agree that the combat can be tedious and not great in general), but they're honestly really great story-wise. The Persona 2 duology is personally my favorite in terms of characters and plot, so I'd recommend for that reason.

So persona 2 is actually a duology of games, the first one being Innocent sin and the sequel being Eternal punishment. In the first game, the mc is actually voiced by the same voice actor as Dio from Jojo, and let’s just say both of the characters have a certain similar end game ability… There’s a lot of craziness with the persona 2 duology, the entire thing is just bizzare like jojo’s, but it’s one of the reasons why persona 2 is considered to have the best story throughout all of the games. It’s a chore to play since the battle system is outdated and boring compared to recent persona titles, but the story is highly worth it, and just absolutely insane after early game. If you ever get interested in giving persona 2 a shot, just make sure you play the PSP versions of the game since that’s the remastered version of both games.
