Been so heartbroken this entire week thinking about him. Gavin's career motivated me all throughout high school and college. I had a sticky note with the word "faith" on my wall for years because of him. He doesn't know it, but he changed my life. Motivated me to be openly queer, to care and fight for human rights, to go into the arts. I always dreamed I would be able to be his colleague or even friend one day. I wish my anxiety didn't keep me from stage dooring or writing him an email -- I've been so moved by the beautiful stories from fans and friends that said he was goofy, sweet, and humble. Devastated we won't get to experience more of his magic, but trying to stay grateful for all the small pieces he left behind for us. I know it's what he would want. Rest in peace, Gavin. Hope your heaven performances of Hair have standing ovations every single night (cause we all know matinees don't exist in heaven.) 🤍🕊☮
