You know, I don't think this is all that transphobic. I'm trans, I can say that. Plus, I never minded the She-Mail thing either. Mainly because, it was always about drag queens. Actual men pretending to be women. Plus, this segment is reinforcing that you can't always tell the difference between a cis woman and drag queen. I know RuPaul is transphobic, so that does make me rethink it a little. But overall, I'm not offended by this. The main thing I find problematic is that they're picking on these women. Zooming into their pictures and essentially saying they look like a man. I think its in poor taste.

Guys at the time, drag queens were considered she males/ trans females, Now it's of course changed so if you see any T words(if you know what I mean) from older seasons from 1 to 8, it's probably cause of that, they changed all of this on the new seasons cause of the fact that more drag racers are transitioning like Kylie and Monica, so don't get mad haney

Thank you for sharing! Binge watching on Netflix and they cut the challenge. I think it's as ridiculous as to ask they cut every time they use the term "fishy" for being a misogynistic term. It is, but I honestly don't care, it's being used in a Drag Queen context and as a "biological woman" I watch this show for the contestants craftsmanship, artistry, performances and talent, not for the drama. I do dislike some contestants attitudes, but I focus on what I like and that's why I keep watching.
I think it's completely reasonable for people to be uncomfortable at drag queens laughing at trans women's and cis women's faces by calling them men and saying they don't look like women (and yes, two trans women were unknowingly made fun of in this challenge). It's making fun of women for looking and being masculine. People will obviously not feel pleasant watching that, especially for the women who looked like the one's they were so openly insulting. You wouldn't have liked it either if your image came up and they started laughing in your face about how much you weren't a real woman because your jaw's too wide and your hands are too big. It's body shaming at its finest.

I do have a facial structure that probably requires a "facial feminisation surgery", but this is what I got and I have been through septum surgery as consequence of DV and it was so horribly painful, with my whole face bloated, bruised that I couldn't care less about my jaw. My sister in law just had an orthognathic surgery for health reasons, fortunately for her she has a speedy recovery and not a painful and horrible one like me so many years ago. Excuse me for going to other theme, but I've been made fun most of my life for not looking like a stereotypical woman. Small breasts, huge buttocks and thighs and a feminist punk rock girl when it wasn't cool to be one. Sexually harassed on the streets just because I was developed in my mother's uterus as a woman. I don't even have a gender identity, I'm agender, yet I cannot erase the fact that I am a woman who doesn't fit gender stereotypes and at this time and age, I couldn't care less. As long nobody touches me nor talk to me to speak their dirty obscenities, they can think whatever they want. Thank you very much for helping me to see this mini challenge in perspective. The trans activists that wanted to boycotted it made it so much about them, when it was about cis gender women Vs drag queens that to me it didn't make any sense why they were so offended, if anyone should be offended should be the cis gender women featured there, I thought. Anything that perpetuates gender roles and stereotypes, for me it's toxic.
@@chilenapromedioRU Trans people made the most noise because they were the only ones who actually recognised the body shaming. The ENTIRE concept of "looking like a 'real' woman" is rooted in transphobia, which is why trans people were the only ones that noticed it. They didn't make it personally all about them, they made it about the fact that they were very expliclty being made fun of for not being 'real' birth-giving hips women. The fact that you only started caring when cis women came into the conversation makes you look selfish and self-centered. You couldn't see it from the trans perspective because you're too far up your own ass. Trans people have been shouting out this entire time about how it hurts all women, but you didn't listen because you don't like trans people. If you grew up and got some perspective, you would have realised this in the first place and I wouldn't have needed to explain it to you. You need to do some self-reflection, because your attitude towards trans people and their very real concerns isn't it.
