This technique of setting the hook took some time to craft. It's the quickest way to set the hook instead of the traditional way of bringing the rod back under your arm, reeling down and setting it.

Using this hook set on bedding fish that is. I don't set the hook like this with any other technique. 🙌🙌🙌

@ntj030885 I never target them with live sonar. When the current is down its usually dead. Once that current kicks on I use locations. The walls or the corners for sure.

@@bassnwbuddy2617 oh ok. There definitely wasn’t much current. I was pretty much staying in on spot without using spot lock so that might have been the issue. There was water flowing over the damn but I guess it has more flow at certain times.

@ntj030885 It will. Download the SHORELINE App and set HOLT as your home lake. When the generator kicks on or they open gators you can get notified. They also have the daily schedule. Helps out a lot.

@pickinpop Hummerbird told me to remove every update off the SD card before adding a new one. So, yes, I removed all of my updates off my SD card before uploading the newest Mega Live update to the card.

I actually caught some decent ones yesterday. It was in the middle of this area on some sunken trees.

@@bassnwbuddy2617 oh that’s cool. I haven’t been there since I I got my livescope so I didn’t know there sunken trees down there. I need to go back there. I wouldn’t mind fishing the river view area but I hate the boat ramp. There’s nowhere to tie up my boat when launching by myself.

@ntj030885 you need to park at the Oliver Lock and Dam and Lock Up to Riverview. You may want to call the Lock guy ahead of time and ask about the times and procedures. I'll be making a video here soon on the procedures, does and don't, etc.

This was my first boat and my truck was 3 wheel drive. I was a bit nervous and tried to take every precaution. This was something I saw and wanted to do it. I fish alone 95% of the time and it seems safer. It gives me peace when I load and unload. Is it necessary, probably not.

Whats going on. It's pretty tough. I've been fishing there for years and never saw anyone on the banks. Maybe the banks of their own property but never on some open areas. If you want a good bank fishing area Bibb County Lake is pretty good. There's a huge pond behind the Links Appartments on 69 South. Hope this helps.
