the uniqueness of the house is amazing

The updates compliment and fit right in with this design. All those windows though. California probably doesn't get a lot of hail storms, if any. All that glass wouldn't be a good idea in Texas or Oklahoma, as there are a lot of hail storms.

"Taken down to the studs" - so it's a new house with a MCM exterior. :-( Looks just like heaps of the houses here in Australia.

The owners absolute ruined this house in their renovation. Painted stamped block, no wood accents, all white walls, it looks like a builder’s cheap imitation of a mid century home. They completely stripped this house of all the mid century details that give a mid century home it’s warmth and charm.

Beautiful space. The retaining wall built-in bench and barbecue are nice touches. It’s too bad no vault in all bedrooms and I’d need a handrail on one side of those interior steps.
