2:58-3:27 The lead guitar in that part has always baffled me. I haven't seen them do it live (keyboards cover it) but on the album it's def guitar. I assume they weren't comfortable trying to pull it off live? Regardless, you got two killer axes and did a fantastic job covering this brother! 🤘

What boost, amp and cab are you using in STL? Sounds great.
Thanks, I can’t remember the settings I had, but it was 2 different presets that I just liked the sound of, with one track panned full left and one right

0:51 is still a mystery to me. No matter how I position my hand, I can never land that pinky note.
For me it helps to push my left elbow to the right slightly which changes the angle of my fingers and accommodate the stretch. And try to drill it half-speed over and over. You will get there! I’ve seen a few live performances of this on YT and even the great Glenn himself does not nail that bit every time, it’s without doubt one of the hardest parts to nail in the whole thing.

what size pick would you recommend for this? im almost up to speed on the beginning riff but i feel like i cant strum that clean. Im getting caught a lot. Any good techniques for practicing those quad notes
A thick pick should help you out here. If you’re getting caught it might be because you’re putting too much into it, to me it feels like a very light flicking motion.

You will be able to with some practice!
You know, just by attempting this you will gain new techniques and imporve anyway. I have spent 3 weeks now and i still dont have it note for note or sounding perfect or anything, but it has improved my playing alot, so definetly worth it.
