We have to let that 'false self' die in order to find who we truly are. Often this means letting go of the body we think we should have for the body we are authentically meant to have. Love you guys. Why Just "Challenging Yourself" in Recovery Isn't Enough
Просмотров 198Год назад
Yes challenging yourself is great work and it helps with the rewiring process, but if you're not doing anything to fundamentally change your neural pathways, then your brain isn't working with you. The key here is getting the brain healthy enough to feel safe to change.

What I eat in a day!! // thoughts on extreme hunger
I love this make more
i think i‘m experiencing extreme hunger at the moment but i‘m not sure because i‘m not severely underweight, however i‘ve been restricting for months now and i wanted to ask if extreme hunger can happen at any weight during recovery? i feel a bit invalid having this experience because i feel like i don’t actually need to gain a lot of weight to get back to a healthy one…i know this is probably not true and it‘s just my insecurities speaking and feelings of invalidation and i should embrace it regardless and let it happen, but i‘d still like to hear any thoughts on this :)
I'm also 23 and I remember when I was 11 I was kinda finding myself again, because at 10 I've lost my one best friend and I was doing bad at school, and I got into a car crash (not serious, thank God). Now I'm also finding myself again, and trying to love me as I am, at 22 my ED was so deep and it left me completely alone and depressed, but now I'm so sick of it, I want my life and spirit back. I found you just a couple of months ago and you are helping me SO much in my recovery journey. All the other girls that have gone through an ED are now either obsessed with the gym, or eating super clean, but you have a more normal approach. You are helping me understand what's underneath my ED, all the ways I've been lowering myself, thinking that I'm worth nothing; but not anymore. Please never stop with the content, it will reach the right people just like me. You are real and raw and honest, and that's what I like. Thank you 💗
This TOUCHED my heart and soul. Thank you for sharing. It means so much to me.
I’m glad you’re back on RUclips making longer videos than on TikTok. It gives you a chance to get more into a subject and I love your more spiritual holistic approach to recovery from and ED. By the way try black tourmaline and maybe smudging with sage to protect yourself from other people’s energy if you’re into crystals at all! Apologies for the suggestion if not!
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I definitely have some black tourmaline around here somewhere so I'll find it and use it :)
This is great perspective. As a parent I agree with many of your points.
But! I must say that when you own a house and have kids, you cannot make a decision to leave your job and follow your passion like you did because you basically have only yourself to care for and you can move easily. It makes things very hard and that’s why people keep working in 9-5 jobs. Also… if everyone left 9-5, who would do those jobs?
I think it's awesome that you've found something that works, I'm really happy for you! This was an awesome video!
i was nervous about watching this in case it recommended elimination diets or stuff like that. I was pleased to find it was nothing of the sort and actually recovery-friendly and encouraging and practical. Thank you.
Yes-never any info about elimination diets I do not believe in anything of the sort!!
At what time do you have breakfast? I eat a smaller breakfast at 6 but I have a snack 3 hours later at 9.
Love it ❤
Hii, how can I work with you??

Hey Peyton 😊 So glad that I found your tiktok account and youtube channel! Did you experience overshoot and by how much did you overshoot? I know everyone is different, but it would still help me so much and give me hope 😢
hmmm I think overshoot is a concept created by traditional ED recovery treatment that doesn't quite get it right. my weight is higher than when my ED began (but that's an 8 yr difference) and its the perfect weight for my body (regular period, healthy digestion, etc). what changes most is your puffiness/water retention goes down after you've been recovered for a bit. the overshoot thing isn't really like super grounded in science
True. I have never hated myself as much as right now being sick.
I live close to Montréal and the cold is ruining my life. Sure summer here is very hot but winter from November to April is killing me. I can’t move to the US because it’s not really possible to do that and I have my boyfriend here but I’m always wondering how my life would be if I could escape the cold.
but what if i am 16 and sont have any money?
My advice is 1. Either ask your parents to help support 2. I do a lot of deals with clients based on how much they can pay so I’m sure we could work something out🤍
For me, resistance comes from chronic pain. Movement is the only way I deal with it. I try to only do yoga or walking though.
My main struggle is with portion size! I always have the feeling that my portions are inadequate! And I don’t have a good reference to what is normal ! Restaurant portions are too big and portions we see on Internet are often too small….
I post all the time on my insta story what I eat during the day which could def help with this. Also I wouldn’t say restaurant portions are “too big” it’s all personalized like I usually finish my meals when I’m eating out bc my appetite and metabolism desires it🤍
When I eat more, my body doesn’t accept it and it makes me throw up. It’s like if it’s not accepting more food than usual, especially fatty food.
Interesting…I’m wondering if this is a way you’ve conditioned your body to respond to food because you hold beliefs that food is going to hurt you (ie by making you gain weight). I would see a physician about this
