You captured my entire childhood in 3min: my elementary & high school, played t-ball at the park, full round golf at the Lakes $5-10 during summer, my mom would sneak us into the Pointe to swim at their huge pools. Treasured memories; amazing shots!

My dad worked on that home back in 1980. I remember going with him to work and walking around that place exploring the whole house. It seemed so big to me as a 6 year old child. Here it is 43 years later and there are no homes that look like "The House of the Future" that was first built in Ahwatukee, Arizona. Now, it should be called "The House of the Past". Homes today look pretty much the same as they did back in 1980 except some minor aesthetic design changes.

I used to take some of my ASU grad courses near the Mercado around 5th and Monroe, before ASU built a new building downtown. Looks like they are adding new buildings all the time, but many of the older buildings are still there. I loved the Hooters in the Arizona Center. 😋

I remember going to visit it with my 7th grade class. Pretty impressive and imaginative place to a child’s brain... my dad even installed solar panels on our house because of the “innovation” and energy savings touted by the house of the future... however it didn’t take off the way they anticipated and I’m wondering why after all these decades, the solar panel industry hasn’t improved the way solar operate... they are just as limited in input/output as they were back then and components are still made with petroleum products as well as being dependent on those products to work under certain conditions...
