Flying around a thunder storm in the U.S. Midwest
Просмотров 329 месяцев назад
This happened in October 2023. I was flying between Atlanta and Salt Lake City when we encountered this thunderstorm. If you pay close attention, you will also find another plane flying the opposite way and around this storm.

Bell 206 taking off in Johannesburg 2
Good work Team! 🍁🍁🍁
I used to visit that very ramp in my hovercraft, from Renton, and then Monroe, WA, a less than half day trip of about 100 miles, part of a fun trip, going camping along the way. AllI I remember is that they had N_6's then and once I got caught with an apple. I ate it right on the spot and handed over the core at customs.
I don't get it...
some guys have nice toys!!!
Lovely, 11:04 of it just sitting there with the engine running. I kept watching and waiting to see pictures of it in actual use, but.....nothing. It would have been nice to have seen how this hovercraft actually maneuvers on the water.
why are they covered in black?

WOW
Where did the SIYAY go?
The CCGS Siyay operates in tandem with the CCGS Moytel at Sea Island so there is always one craft available while the other is undergoing maintenance.
Great!! I can almost see you smiling.
In response to why they didn't go to Kamloops, Kamloops doesn't have a cardiac catheterization lab, but Kelowna does. This patient could have been having what's known as a STEMI (ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction - google it) and the closest place to get the treatment of an angioplasty is in Kelowna. FYI. I have had the priviledge of working with this crew on several occasions and they are top notch!
This is a Bell 412. It is same as the UH-1 design but two generations younger. It was build in the 70's, gone into an accident, then rebuild for EMS use. This 412 is based out of Kamloops, BC.
Is this an old UH-1?
Yes, we do have an Australians working for us. He is in the process of applying for Landed Immigrant status and the ALS position he is working towards is extremely short of people right now. According to immigrant law, he is allowed to practice in BC as long as there are a shortage of local worker providing he pass the mentoring process and the licensing exam.
Are you kidding me. They accept anyone from any country as long as they followed the same safety & training & schooling once in Canada.
It is an air ambulance. Their regular one (HJT) was probably getting service so HeliJet reconfigured one of their other machines to the Medevac setting.
that's not a air ambulance
I forgot how fun it is too see a helicopter start up. Thanks for the video!
Usually yes, but in this case it required specialize treatment in Kelowna.
From Ashcroft wouldent they go to Kamloops?
@nahuip okay kool thanks for responding :D
They brought in a sick patient from the North side of Vancouver Island. He was taken to ICU immediately upon shut down.
Holy cow, that was all so quick, do u know what happend? there very skilled pilots, nice shot, hope to see more of theese vids
First off, you will need to be a Canadian before applying for any paramedic jobs in Canada. Unfortunately for you there are many who wants to be in our profession they don't usually take foreign workers.
please help me i´m emt in mexico, but i´m very interested in being emt paramedic in canada can you help me please?
They were dropping off a maternity patient from the island.
Were they picking up or droping off a kid? (paitent)
@finnishrockstar---To work as a paramedic in the helicopter, you are either an ACP/CCP/ ITT paramedic, however Primary Care paramedics also do flight aswell
Beautiful
Good one, good one
Send them down to the Tim Hortons, stat!
There are only two dedicated helicopter air ambulances left in the Southern part of BC. Both of them are in Vancouver International Airport. One is dedicated to the Infant Transport Team and the other Critical Care Transport. Helijet uses a Twin Star as a spare if a third ambulance is needed or if one of the S-76 is in repair or overhaul. The other dedicated helicopter is located in Prince Rupert. And that one is a Bell 222.
and for this one in the video ^^ Helijet offered to paint the heli for free. so thats y this one has that paint color.
they have many diffrent airambulances in vancouver, the main one "with the red stripe" is over at vancouver international, and th secondary one "this one^^" is located at van. general, there is also a third over in squamish.
That's great you were able to make it.
special floor taken by elevator with security
I think this was a spare or a backup. The regular helicopters may have been in repair or maintainence.
How come that "air ambulance" doesn't have the markings of the normal air ambulances. With the Red stripe?
@AbdullahForEver ya lol
@AbdullahForEver is not an x but a +

I think I was flying that one, after an all nighter going here... there and every where. hate seeing a sunrise on night shifts lmao :)
Thanks for the comment. I would love to see the Bell 222 also but we now have to go to Prince Rupert for it. It must be nice to live close to the Children's hospital to watch helicopters crossing Oak street and landing at the helipad.
Nice video... Right from the doors too.
This could have been a spare aircraft while the others are under maintenance. It could also be the new paint scheme from Helijet to cut cost. Who knows?!
Is this a new helicopter? Where's the red stripe on this one? I think I saw this one landing while driving past YVR last month.
I was actually working that night. I was tasked to take the patient from the helicopter to the Emergency Department.
Nice vid, Nahum!
At the entryway to the helipad by the Nuclear Med. Department.
good one
