Where are my phanpy mains ?

i always go with chikorita, it's the only starter with fast friend. and if im giving my starter gummis anyway, it will mow down any opponent in the game with no difficulty anyway

Treecko with bullet seed + agility at Neverused is crazy silly. Cyndaquil also deserved one or two tiers higher due to smokescreen abuse.

I've never understood why ppl say skitty is good. I hated when i played as it bc it couldn't get any coverage and i would rather have coverage than stab. Didn't realize it was in group g tho. That is p good

Phanpy now learns Bulldoze in later generations. If there ever will be a remake, I'll try it.

I typically play with Torchic being my main, and Chicorita as my partner - i also love Torchic and Chicorita needed more love. She did good as a partner Pokemon - Aromatherapy for statuses, razor leaf for distance attacks, and bodyguard to help when hp was low were some of the reasons ^^ My current game has Turtwig and Piplup for something different. Having a fire type starter in general is an advantage - you have to play for a LONG time to get to a dungeon you can recruit a different fire type starter (there are other fire types available tho).

Pikachu is S tier. Discharge alone carries the entire game so hard, absolutely obliterates monster houses and monster house boss battles.

After playing a sky randomizer and rolling Glaceon I honestly have to say that shes probably one of if not the best Eeveelutions you can pick. Blizzard absolutely ripped monster houses to shreds

Skitty is so broken, cute charm, sing and double slap? Huge movepool. Op, just get a good partner to cover your weaknesses

I'm currently playing as a Phanpy (and my partner Pokemon is a Shinx). I can agree that the moveset is garbage. 😂

As a kid I only played PMD Blue Rescue Team and I loved it. I just recently begun to emulate EoS and I'm loving it as well! Now 50+ hours into it with my maxed IQ Chikorita lol _(although I'm cheating, I'm using save states, ain't no way I'm gonna go through my traumas of when I was a child and losing all my progress after hard fought battles in a tough dungeon because I randomly stumble upon a monster house and my partners consumed all my reviver seeds haha)_ Great to see some cool PMD content still being made

chikorita is the *only* starter in IQ group H which gets the friendship iq skill later on. H is generally incredibly impressive. And with access to bullet seed it's quite buffed up. honestly chikorita is the ultimate power game mode if you know what you are doing

My first playthrought was Charmander and Totodile. My second Riolu and Piplup. Both without knowing what was IQ groups

Also, since then I played a grass starter as the player character in every Mystery Dungeon game. I think I got too used to being worse...

Torching and Bulbasaur all the way. Sleep powder and Mirror Trick are op in this game. If it wasn‘t for dumbcelia, I would have never needed revive seeds in the latter part of the game.

Really love how sky added a random starter evolution from each gen... Yes, Ninetales and Lucario were popular, but Shinx, Skitty, and Phanpy are fairly unimportant mons

Treecko is ultra god when u get agility and absorb he can destroy full roms alone and destroy bosses and bosses with multiple enemies

I was given skitty as my first ever assignment. From that day on I never played as anything else. I tried, but for some reason unbeknownst to a younger me, I couldn’t even get past drowzee. I somehow chalked it up to nostalgia. Turns out playing as skitty is playing on easy mode.

Bruh not me picking both D tier Pokémon for my team lmaoo. I did teach Phanpy EQ bc I saw it in Kecleon Shop one day lol. I linked Sweet Scent Protect, and am able to sweep Monster Rooms easy with that combo haha. I love them a lot. Also I had fast friend before Quicksand Cave so that was fun seeing it in action before the future stuff too.

I was always a shinx with riolu as a partner.

The personality test isn't perfect (it isn't meant to be, variance in starter options is what the game intends) but the fact that I still get Shinx around 1/3 is still really cool.

I made a new game a week ago with Riolu as the starter I one shoted dialga with a focus punch 🤣 (-1166 btw) poor dialga couldn't even use his signature move, also Pikachu and shinx are op I remember using them a lot when I was a kid and they are clearly canceling the mid game difficulty with the charge + discharge combo every monster house get cleared in 1 or 2 moves. Also took eevee on my recent run as a partner she is quite bad honestly but still fun to play b tier seem high considering her Stat and move pool I used a lot more of gummies on her than on Riolu and she was still far behind

Rilou should be top 2 he is very useful and 2 shot primal digla

how tf did i complete mystery dungeon as chikorita as a CHILD will baffle me. I do remember getting stuck a lot tho, and i think i just got around this by overtraining and just spamming magical leaf which never misses and did pretty good damage. also i was a kid so i didnt know the IQ or leveling up stat mechanics or how helpful status moves were lmaooo.

After playing the game with Bulbasaur and Torchic as Partner i will say that the grass starter is a very good pkmn for the game. Using Sleep Powder makes your game 10 times easier

I feel like Turtwig needs to be moved up. He learns Razor Leaf, a Physical projectile. Pair that with Curse and the IQ skill Defender, and he becomes a powerhouse.

I always used to sit there and redo the personality quiz for upwards of an hour so I could land Totodile as my character, and then Meowth as my partner because Payday go brrrrrr.

It took my brother and i until explorers of sky to come out to actually ever beat primal dialga as kids (6 and 9, then 8 and 11) any time we would get to dialga wed try for days and never beat him, until Sky came around, then we beat him with vulpix and our partner eevee, also the only time we got our team to level 100 to this date

I wonder if a romhack that makes this game harder can make group E stronger

I went for Shinx as main and Vulpix as partner. Sure, the mutual ground weakness is a bit of a pain in certsin situations, but that's made up for by what else the duo can do. Shinx learns the concentrator IQ skill, which makes discharge significantly more useful with the improved accuracy boost, and intimidator also makes up for the loss of evasion from conentrator's drawback. Vulpix's map surveyor and stair sensor makes exploration a breeze, and once you get X-Ray Specs, the entire layout AND contents of every dungeon floor are always visible, which is absolutely game changing. The overwhelming brute force of Shinx combined with the utility of Vulpix makes for a good combination in my opinion, so much so that the shared weakness doesn’t end up mattering most of the time. With the Luxray exclusive items you can get, the ground type weakness can eventually get conquered anyway, leaving him with zero weaknesses.
