I have F7 mini blitz in F5D Nazgul..they left a ready socket for uart 4, i just need to solder the first light blue and white..but uart 4 was also on, if i do it with socket, do i need to open uart, i will only open my gps. I can't do it somehow, when the gps is connected, the control connection is lost

If I solder it this way, it looks like the gps will work without a problem, our devices are the same because now I realized that you have the same controller.

Thanks for the thorough yet quick video; it helped me install the exact same GPS/Compass combo on my 5" quad. I noticed at the end that you did not bother to setup up the magnetometer's alignment in BF (CW 270 flip vs CS 90, etc). Did you do that because you have no need for the compass, because compasses on such small quads don't work that well, ... ? I ask because I have not been able to get my compass for the M8Q 5883 to give very accurate results at all, no matter where I place it on my quad. I'd like to have a compass for a more secure GPS Rescue and to give more accurate heading information, but I'm about to give up.

Hi! It was done after and didn't mentioned in a video. From my experience M8Q Magnetometer (compass) performs pretty well, all is dependant on it's location on quad and wiring routes of power lines (motors, beeper). In any case - mag in Betaflight is just "help" to detect direction (heading), when on INAV it is mandatory. Betafilght's GPS Resque will work without any magnetometer. And as it GPS Rescue and not RTH - it dedicated to return your quad to control link range, regardless how, regardless accuracy, regardless anything.

Hello! Could you please help me? after springs replacement data from sticks are shaking in 1-2% diapason, even if I'm not touching sticks. Calibration not helping at all. could this be due to the fact that the screws could be magnetized by a screwdriver?

    • @ernisfpv110

Hi! Where do you see "shaking"? On LCD screen of Tango2 remote or in BetaFlight? How much PPM points exactly mentioned 1-2% is?

If you mean beahvior, showed in your video ruclips.net/video/qyvSSR0nXFI/видео.html - there are two possible things can be: 1. Gimbals (tension springs) are too loose. 2. Gimbals are not calibrated right way. Probably you have "pressed sticks too much" at first stage of calibration process, where you need to move sticks to midpoints of edges and to corners. At this place you should do that very gently, not pushing sticks with excessive force. Or at last calibration stage, where you need to move sticks exactly in + pattern, up/down/left/right, not "around" or like that. And answering your question: no, magnets on gimbals are strong enough to create magnetic field, sensed by hall sensors, which can't be affected with thing like magnetized screws.
