How many miles have you had it before you've spun a bearing? I'm also considering going ps2 but I'm afraid the same thing will happen. Did you have OFHG replaced recently before that happened?
im on 152k kms just had the OFHG replaced, no problems so far runs smooth. just make sure ur oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, OFHG and other prone oil leaks arnt present. that will starve the oil and likely spin the bearings. oil change every 8k kms and u should be fine. most spun bearings ive seen online are due to oil leaking from the OFHG onto the serpentine belt and the belt slips off and gets sucked into the engine and then u have a spun bearing. just be weary of any leaks and youll be fine.
Is this an automatic transmission? Has it been holding up pretty well?
It was the 6 speed auto. It spun a rod bearing at 120K miles 4 years ago. No more BMW’s for me.

the fuck is the "DIVE DIVE DIVE" alarm going off for? ahahh I always thought this setup kinda brought the n55 to a smidge above a good stock twins n54 level, and thought that's where the n55 really shined as a daily. Although, I would rather have the DCT with the n55, like the 135is my customer brought in, with full 1m conversion suspension and a ps2...

Hey man, love the videos! Had to subscribe and support. If you don’t mind me asking, what was the reason for getting rid of the f30? Did the motor go or was it just an upgrade to the gt?
The E90 spun a rod bearing @ 120K miles.
@@coryswinerton3296 damn.. i feared that would be the response. sorry to hear that. Did it damage the block? or just rods etc. I love the way my f30 drives. just purchased a baffled oil pan. I'm thinking about doing king bearings will the pan is dropped. Initially I was hoping to avoid the bearing issues with an oil cooler and the upgraded oil pan- but it seems inevitable. The 50/50 chance of the block throwing a rod and needing a new motor vs just needing new internals doesn't seem to be worth NOT upgrading at this point

Spun rods are common on the N55 as they aren't as forged as the N54. But have the money, just replace it the rod 😎

Beautiful sled that sounds like hells on it way ! My 2003 firecat 700 efi took 1st all 3 stock classes 700 , 800 & zr 900 respectively eventually loosing title to a 2001 srx 700..
And for your next mod, pull the engine then put in a N54

@@tylerlaurentoutdoors2082 Most do get too much yes. This was also in 55° air temp and fully warmed up. It does show small plumes of bluish oil smoke during initial warm up. 👍🏻.

@@genericcreature2165 A properly tuned 2 stroke will smoke very little once fully warmed up and cleared out. Depends on the oil your using too

Pure Stage 2 turbo, JB4, 80/20 WMI. Catless DP. 500awhp/529tq @ 24.5psi. Spun rod bearing 13K miles later at 120K miles.

My car is fast, i got the same one only on a stage 1 plus MHD with minor mods and i thought it was fast and obviously am going stage 2 plus, if it gets me here to this speed this quick im good, no matter who has more HP, i beat V8s, Mustangs, Camaros with just what i have and am not to in a rush to blow anything in my car as more power equals more problems, so im taking it slow, fast car tho damn..
This car is running Pure Stage 2 Turbos, don't get it confused with a stage 2 tuned car.
