Nothing wrong with that knife... I like a relatively high scandi on a blade that thick. Tip is strong.. grind is even. After a little use the gap you don't like will fill with fine debris that occurs in a wood environment, assuming you plan on using it.
Yeah, you can also use it with uneven grind and weak tip. But you expect it to be of a good quality for this price. Especially not to have this defects which can be avoided easily by operator or noticed and fixed on quality control stage. In this case they just didn't care.
@@lithop8984 send it back then and tell them to fix the fit and finish. See if they take care of it. I've seen worse from other top brand knife makers. It happens. Even Rockstead! Very rare but... Good luck. Let us know if B R made you happy. Take care :)

@@lithop8984 good on you son! You can still contact B R and register your complaint. See if they give you any advice. Maybe they'll replace it without the shipping expensive. Can't hurt to try. Ask for Mike Stewart and explain the circumstances. I'm assuming you bought it online?

Honestly I don't get why you would want a scandi belt knife as your main, a scandi secondary 🤷 makes sense. I'll stick to a flat or convex.
