A lot of wise people, who grow up in environments, which are hostile to conscious self-thinking people, also learn, that it often is better to keep a low profile and are thus harder to find. Self-perseverance can be fairly counterproductive sometimes.

You cannot address the masses. You will never convince the majority. You must first establish the connection with God by acknowledging Him. God has sent His final revelation to mankind which is the Qur'an. The claim in the Qur'an is that it is the greatest wisdom. Embrace it and you will beginning to find the purpose in life. This will also allow you to create your own reality and the masses will then see for themselves, in you, what it is to be human.

Wise people are there, but they don't advertise themselves bc they're also used to being alone. It may help you to travel & broaden your horizons. Ask the Spiritual (unseen) for guidance. However change and growth takes time in life, patience is key.

Most people are prideful and haughty. Thats what prevents them from obtaining wisdom. Only the humble can truly become wise. And its rare to find humble people. Keep being yourself, though, and keep being open to learning the truth. This way, you are more likely to attract people with the same mindset as you.

Do you want to meet truth seekers or want to meet free thinkers? Both are different, and those that accept both roles is one in ten million.

You can't rush wisdom.

People are angry today and letting emotions rule their lives. We believe there are conspiracies lurking around every corner. We are putting are faith in fallible human beings. We no longer believe in science or medicine. We are looking for simplistic answers to everything. We believe life was better 100 years ago. We are looking for somebody to blame for our disappointments. We don't know history repeats itself in predicable ways.

Wisdom comes from life experiences.

You are unique because you are so self aware at your age. But I think you answered your own question. You don't have to "wait until you get wise" there are many wise people you can talk to that would be happy to help you with your questions and I'm sure you have many. There are many of us older folks (I'm 71) and would love to have a young person to help with questions.

You do you, people who are on the same wavelength will find each other. PS at 71 I still look and amazed at the dumb shit I still do, but life is a journey and life is good, bad and ugly at the same time.

Unfortunately, the best wisdom often comes at the expense of time and experience. Why? We don't listen to those who've already figured it out (there's some good in that too though).

You won't find wise people on RUclips. Just people searching for self validation. Wise people are privately making money and living the dream.

Young people are full of wisdom. I think that as you grow into adulthood, you almost lose your wisdom. I think if you're lucky, you get it back in middle age. But the two types of wisdom are quite different. Young wisdom is an ability to challenge established norms. There is a lot of healthy questioning in youthful wisdom. At my age, wisdom looks like having done enough to know what to sweat or not to sweat. Everything I do is a version of something I've done before. You either laugh at the repetition and yourself or you don't.

Hello , it give's me hope to hear and see a young person like you asking question's as we all should. To learn and be the best version of yourself each day one must be reflective and open to grow. I was like you also when I was in my teens, like a old soul. I enjoyed hearing and learning from wiser older people and was never afraid of them and I listened to hear what they had to say about life. We are supposed to respect our elder's and each other. Today, people are moving to fast. Society is being influenced to be productive tech bots. To make money for the company they work for. We human's are spiritual beings. One of the best sermons I ever heard was by a homeless Man. He had lived a hard life by choice and his parables were pure truth ! Maybe he was a Angel walking here on Earth ? My point is society has turned their back on God more and more over my lifetime. I am guilty of it too and part of the problem. Sin is simply separation from God and that is where much of our world is at today unfortunately. When you turn your back on God you will have problems. There is hope for all of us through Jesus Christ, who came here and died for all of the sin's of the world. If we Repent of our sin and believe and have faith in Christ we can have salvation and everlasting life after death with God. Not a easy path being a Christian in our world, but worth everything to us and God. Today is Jesus's Birthday !! Thank you Lord Jesus for saving the world with your life and Gospel. Noooo no no no, do you know how bad it hurts when others hit "your wildest your weirdest your most genuine self"? When you show your true self, everyone you trust, without exception, will hit that your true self. Don't make such a mistake. You have to camouflage and continue to fight people and the whole world. When you camouflage and have a shell on you like a turtle, even if they hit you, it doesn't hurt that much. Moreover, you can return to your cave, put that shell aside and rest.

Wisdom is based on experiences and the way we deal with them. Some people never learn; some do. You can't just decide to be or get wise, but you can decide to learn something new every day, and multiply life experiences, not just watch TV and do nothing. Bottom line is, it takes time, decades, no matter what.

Step up from your passive self to the active one. The world needs more than youtube videos to change. You found your inner self? Now, make it a warrior. That's how everything always starts. You can be alone, but you are not. You can be independent, but you are not. You can be awake, but the others aren't. Wisdom takes experience and many people live their entire lives coddled and protected in an environment that is not conducive to create wisdom, and reading books and getting educated does not create wisdom, it only creates knowledge. Wisdom also does not mean, life should be easy, since an easy life creates a human being without wisdom. Life on itself, is about productivity, wisdom tells you, you cannot exist without working to exist, society takes from some to give to others which is not fair, everyone needs to work in order to exist.

We are here, and maybe some of us are putting ourselves out there. But if you're referring to men in particular, many of them are being subdued by modern culture and may fear being labeled as something negative even though they didn't do anything wrong. It's not exactly rational, but it does exist. The good news is, over time people tend toward their own people, just as you mentioned, through activities, friends, and work; but it takes time and can be accelerated at Uni due to proximity.

The answer may be in the difference between wise people and popular people.

Nowadays, people are long for a true friendship, or at least an honest person, not an easy commodity to be found, the real issue is most of the time we mask our selves out and have a life of pretending, therefore we can keep on navigating throughout this life, hoping one day that real honest person will show up, perhaps, reality is we need to embrace any potential outcome when we meet someone without dropping off our heart on it, until we know what a person might think about good and vice.

What age has taught me that I didn't see in youth. Is it wisdom? Maybe. Actually, life IS about relationships, surviving, establishing yourself socially and financially, building friendships, loyalty, honesty, integrity, responsibility, community, and hard work. Having children then grandchildren is a big part of life and wisdom too, for people who are up for it and can do it. It's also about doing things in the right order. Much harder than it sounds, but iimmensely fulfilling. Showing 'yourself' to the world? Not so much. Build yourself first. That will be show enough. Two less than true things our elders have told us: "You're perfect just the way you are." "If you just stick to your dreams, they will come true." Everyone can and should grow. Dreams are sign posts along the way and worth paying attention to, but they change, thank goodness. Would my eighteen year old self believe what I just said. Probably not. Good luck to you. You are obviously made of what it takes to achieve fulfillment and joy in life.

What you are searching for is hard to find. Because so many people aren't accepting of themselves. They flow with the masses. They hide who they are in order to fit into acceptable categories. Seek the fearless. The ones who are comfortable with themselves. Or at the least the ones who have learned to be. Perhaps they are hard to find because they are searching too.

Define wisdom first. Its the ability to make good decisions as opposed to evil decisions. Its where morality intersects knowledge and therefore actions. Find real christians who are actually obeying Jesus (and not cussing, or committing sin), and you have found the wise.

Read books. When the student is ready the master will appear.

Not to be obnoxious but wisdom and folly are only a sword's edge apart. That's why we need others wiser than ourselves to help mold the wisdom we already have.

It is good that you are thinking for yourself. People who were not raised to learn and share with others, don't know anything different. When they have been bombarded by very powerful, cleverly designed television, media, films, and likely their parents before them. Sadly, much of the school system creates people who meet the expectations of teachers, their ideolgies, of government. Schools that have different perspective a few and far between, need private funding, religious institution backing. I would suggest that it is important for you to be self reliant, and not to rely on one group. It is important to be secure in yourself, so you can get to know people without feeling that your are needing people. Being in a postion of 'needing' something, whether spiritually, emotionally, financially, etc, leaves you exposed to not evaluating people, situations. I would suggest it is vital to focus on the interactions, environments, where you are safe. To see the vaulable things in those connections, and read, journal about things. As they are things you connect to. I write this from the perspective of not protecting myself as a young adult, of not knowing how to protect myself in numerous ways. Additionally, people I trusted to guide me, did not do so, indeed they had their own agendas, their own biases, failings. Some let me walk into risks and encouraged me to stay there so they could maintain contact with me, derive benefits from my time resources, etc. I would not assume that an older person, more experienced, will have the knowledge relevant to you. Then there are those in Institutions, in formal roles, they may adopt, by choose or percived obligation, to act in ways that are not in your interests. I pray you continue safely on your journey.

I thought pretty much the same 54 years ago when I was 18 and it took me a long time to meet others who actually think. By think I don't mean what you learn at university.

Hey Lady Jose, I up with you, and I feel your pain, the carnal/fleshly world is filled to overflowing with those who are unwise, and seemingly never "Get it", I was, as you were, one of them, just working to be working, the same dead-end job, year after year, barely eking out a meager living, surviving, ever striving just to put up a roof and food on the table, until I found the Lord, Christ Jesus, and was born-again (from above). From the moment I began to serve God, in Christ Jesus and study/learn God's Word, where I found, by the Holy Spirit, all of the wisdom in the universe. I hope and pray, you will find this "True Wisdom", in your heart, as well. May God bless you, draw you, enlighten you, speaking to your heart, in His grace and mercy, amen?

Wisdom seems to be something that occurs as people get older but that is not how it works. As people get older they have more life experience which teaches them to look inside themselves more, this is the source of wisdom. If your mind is still and attentive, aware then wisdom is a by product. So wisdom is not age related at all. For example I did a lot of intense meditation when still quite young in my early twenties, wisdom became part of this. You can even see it in some children as well.
