I've been nostalgic for something I've not lived (at least in this lifetime) for the entirety of this lifetime xD. Edit: so far(this lifetime) lmfao!
caption is real
Back again.
I love this mix so much. I listen to it every time i go to sleep or take a walk. Reminds me of the times i used to truly enjoy
I think the word for that is Anemoia
great mix dude. also it's amazing that you took that picture
love that you included merchant ships <3
hyped to see Frat Mouse in here :)
3- I look around at all my friends The 1-2-3-4-5 dead ends The kids I'll never see again The kids who mean the most to me Staying up until the morning In my kitchen swapping stories; Memories I can't forget No matter how the summer went We're here! Forever! We'll die! Together!
2_ [Chorus] I don't smoke anymore I don't have time to play guitar I miss my friends (I miss my friends) I miss my room (I miss my room) I don't have time anymore I don't smoke anymore I don't have time to play guitar I miss my friends (I miss my friends) I miss my room (I miss my room) I don't have time anymore [Outro] I miss my room I don't have time, anymore
I miss the Midwest so badly. I miss my home, but my home wasn't safe for me anymore.
I’m sorry. Hope it gets better.
🤙
This genre of music helps me keep on going by myself. For this I don't give up on knowing myself and for this I could form an idea of what kind of man I want to be. I love this.
Yo! To those facing some shit recently, or are feeling emotionally unstable, you are not alone. Fight for your right to exist, and show love to those who need it, make the day count for you, cuz it won’t last forever.
I fucking love running shoes... thx :)
Cooooooooooooooooooool 👍☀️❤️👌
This playlist introduced me to midwest emo and it's still my favorite one.
Hello, this video. I'm back again.
The thumbnail is yours? You LIVE in the midwest?
Wow first time listening to american poetry club here and I really love that kmd song
GATEKEEP HEAD HONCHO & REASONS
merchant ships sounds like crack rock steady and i like it.
Chapter for Tigers Jaw isn't working 18:22
nice mix homie! good morning!coffee
This is awesome!
Yeah I like the title.. I caught the back end of the first wave in the early 2000's, and its funny I knew people who caught the second wave who are just like "You dont even understand"... please... tell me more hahahaha... IDK, its like if you caught the first wave people don't recognise because they will just name all the fundimental band's as an attempt to trump you? for some egotistic reason no doubt, The thing is, is the internet was barely a thing.. I had to listen to radio and tape the shit i liked.. or actually buy the CD, or wait a day to download it as MP3 lol, I could not just google the history of something that was Still happening? I think people fail to understand, it was actually a different time, you had to make an effort to find new music, unlike today, i don't like that idea of superiority in music, it was just a thing that I enjoyed, but some people hold things like this to be DEFINING of there "REALNESS" or some dumb shit.... people
good picture btw
You guys need to listen to “remo drive” and “pierre” to local MN bands that are a goldmine
stoked to see merchant ships on here
I Listen to grindcore why the fuck RUclips recommended me this video
I listen to deathcore... this stuff is nice :) expand bro
@@MegaG15 and hes bitching about it 😂 these typs of people man...
I listen to raw black metal and brutal death metal... You really should open ur mind, like the other guy said.
For me it sounds like a mixture between Doom, Emo and Indie. Serious music soundwise
I didn’t know this was a genre until trash taste
camping in alaska would’ve fit perfectly on this.
I love Merchant ships, and I feel nostalgic when watching videos of their live shows, even tho I obviously never got to see them.
this was a great playlist and i've found so many new bands - thank you for making this!
7:45 sounds like squidward singing in the shower
HAHAHAHA how the fuck do you come up with this xD
Music like this can be a powerful tool to transition from feeling lonely to simply being solitary.
That’s actually so well put, gonna be thinking about this for awhile now ❤
@@Dxnnxssy if we must endure being alone for long stretches of time, it can become a beautiful thing with the right mindset.
that feeling's called 'Anemoia'
Im kinda scared.
could be described as the German word "fernweh" too, which essentially means "feeling homesick for a place you've never been to"
soundtrack for my whole life... well this is sad
I know most of midwest emo music is American but being from the uk I can't help feeling it relates to that uk town energy, where everything looks the same no matter how far you drive, where you don't have anything to do in your area and the last time you had fun playing out with you friends was 8 years ago riding your bikes after school. This playlist is great and really encapsulates what I've been feeling recently. Thank you for this :))
From the UK too, lived in small town in the country growing up and it relates hard.
same with eastern germany
Dude, I made a very similar comment on another MidWest Emo playlist here: ruclips.net/video/35BjR-52jt0/видео.html&lc=UgxdUBt3beSh8zrNJ4F4AaABAg. I love the genre for evoking memories like these.
The midwest is exactly that! Cold and bleak and it's all the same.
My people right here, living in the UK sucks it feels like a black hole, I was meant to be in America or atleast doing fucking something but there is nothing to even do here
I finally understand running shoes
this was a fire mix
I’m really impressed, I feel like all the Midwest staples are recycled on most Midwest emo playlists on RUclips, this playlist introduced me to a lot of new bands and songs. Great work!
Do you have a Spotify playlist for this?
Unfortunately not, 'cause some of these songs aren't on Spotify :(
@@fedco4888 do you have a Spotify playlist at all ?
I didn't know midwest emo was a genre until I realized that it's my favourite.
honestly good to know I do too.
same, I didnt even knew what midwest is... Im not even from USA, listening from europe
@@XX-tu3is same. I living in eastern Europe and we dont even have something like "small towns" like in America but anyway this vibe felt so.... familiar idk. That's crazy
@@XX-tu3is To give some context, a lot of people can feel isolated in midwest towns, where the nearest city can be hours away. and there isn't much to do (besides drugs). I'm not sure if this influences the music, but I think it's why a lot of it sounds sad.
It’s like the American Football house but modern.
So... Modern Football?
@@hennydarmse modern baseball
and brutalist
emotional vibe :'(
damn i am really liking this. tysm for taking the time and making something so cool!
Couldn't put it into words, I'm so glad someone did <3
