good day is it possible to make a reverse intake manifold for this engine?
@@jak404 the manifold you can definitely install backwards yes.
@OkiSubies Thank you for the reply, didn't really see anybody do it. I assume some relocations would have to be done, also same thing with ez36 correct?
So many options, which one would you prefer the most for reliability and ease of cleaning? The v7 205/207 seems to have all the features you want: coolant, screws accessibile from the top, unit and gasket replacements available, may foul less than the plunger seen on earlier models? Curious to see what you think!
@@MinhDangcraftv7 is definitely the more user friendly setup and Subaru still makes the parts!!
Brilliant
I believe using a manual JDM ABS solenoid and possibly pump allows you to keep ABS working and get rid of the light.
I would like to see the wiring
The Bug STi will be a jewel when it's importable. I really want a GC8 Impreza STi ver 5 or 6 in Yellow. Those are hard to find.
Im picking up a 2000 2.5RS this week only to find out iwire wont be doing anymore merge services. Please tell me you do!🙏🏼
@@paulpat8845 unfortunately with us being in Japan the harnesses are different so we wouldn’t be able to provide a harness to merge it with but If the harness were provided it would be possible
Funny that this popped up on the top of my YT list today. The day after iWire announced that they won't be doing merges anymore.

Turbocharged is sick too, wonder what's done to the block!

@OkiSubies insane. H6s have been slept on. I would have expected closed deck and forged hahaha. I have been convinced. EZ30 will be sent for closed deck for a Christmas gift to me haha
@ I have a closed deck setup I am going to be putting together soon and bumping up the turbo to a G35-900. Stay tuned ! Lol
@OkiSubies definitely following! Wonder if anyone makes upgraded chain tensioners or maybe we'll be ok lol
Hi @OkiSubies I had imported 2017 VAB WRX STI to Europe and I have some questions. The service parts like timing belt, water pump, spark plugs are the same as global EJ257 or I need something imported from Japan? Some mechanics say it is the same but none so far had an occasion to work on that modern WRX STI here.
@@legionjackofalltrades8164 They are the same🙂
@@OkiSubies Great thanks!
Did you work on a newer model a SJG with a CVT planning on sti swapping its transmission got any tutorials on the wiring. Its a push start system btw
Sir. 2009 subaru impreza. Randomly car will die at low idle. Sometimes it will start after 20 min... sometimes couple hours. Sometimes will not start for a day or 2. During crank... but no start .. it has no spark. Then randomly... when it. Feels like it ... spark happens ... car starts... No codes... looks perfectly fine. Any thoughts??
Keep up the great content
Tha k you very informative I support all subaru videos! Make some more!!
Can anyone here help me with the wiring on a 2004 forester xt , I 5mt swapped it 😅
it is also worth noting that if you have a EJ20G like I do, It maybe slightly different looks wise but will function the same.
Thanks Oki Subie. Great advice. 😊 I remember when you show me this last year. 😂
Cool video, thank you. Music reminds me of a GTA 5 mission.
Sorry correct me if I’m wrong but you said the forester version 2 type m has a version 6 ej207 in it… I have one and as far as I know they came out with ej205.. I could be wrong but just wanting to clarify that you meant to say ej207 or ej205?
@@ne0nm0nkey23 By the vin it is an EJ205. All the sensors are the same as the version 5/6 engine so we often call them the same thing but technically 205.
@ thanks for that. Also whose type m is that? Is it your customers or a car up for sale?
@OkiSubies Could you do a video on installing boost gauges. And which brand is ideal?
Superb content, thank you.
what if i accidentally ran the car out of gas and now it wont start
@@fanatikemnz3458 typically just putting gas in it fixes but the fuel pumps don’t like to be run dry. It is possible that the pump failed so I would check if the pump is priming.
Interesting you started with checking fuel pump, rather than checking for spark. I hear my fuel pump pinging when I turn key to ON, but I've got crank/no start. I'm thinking about disconnecting fuel line from fuel rail, and keying forward to see what I catch with a jar. (this is a 1994 EJ22 in a VW van)
@@vincentdow5899 We don’t necessarily always start with fuel but it is rarely a spark issue if the engine just cranks but doesn’t start but more importantly for this video specifically we just wanted to share the fuel system related issues we have experienced🙂. Often times when there is a spark issue it is typically a misfire symptom. Thats a good place to start. Crank sensor or maf sensor can also be the issue also.
@ thanks. Turns out I have fuel. Several years ago I had the same crank/no start condition : I tested from the spark plug wires back, traced it to a bad igniter (there was no 12v getting to coil) Now I’m trying to separate the coil pack harness to test voltage, on the YELLOW wire to coil
The RA seats alone were 2K USD

Cool car but is there a filter on this video?
Awesome video, are there any differences with the sump and oil pick up setup between v10 207 vs v10+ 257

Honestly in my opinion that spoiler doesn’t suit the car

What size oil pump would you recommend for a stock ej20r twin turbo? Cannot seem to find a good answer and my block already had an aftermarket pump installed with no markings on it. Thanks!
@@lukekeasling209 oem is 10mm but we really like the 11mm pump. That is typically what we install, especially on built bottom end either looser bearing clearances.

Hate to bother you, but do you have any contacts in Japan that I could see about parts for my 1996 Legacy Outback GTB? It has dual sunroofs and I need the front sunroof seal, subaru japan says discontinued and I cannot find any aftermarket solutions. Used or new parts. Thanks so much!
Got the 2000 Legacy B4 twin turbo which looks exactly like yours....every time I install a new primary turbo (small one)..it gets busted and my car throws a ton of smoke. I flushed engine oil and cleaned the oil lines but still same outcome after a few days turbo gets shot once again :(

Hey, I'm almost done with the merge. I'm just left with one wire from the 04 WRX ECM and one wire from a 3 pin plug from the RS. 1. 04 WRX ECM wire ( E: B84 - 23p ) RL colored wire. ("Internal" pressure solenoid valve). Which to my understanding, the 01 Impreza RS (Gm6/Gc8) doesn't have?... Can I assume that I could leave this cut then? 2. And then the 3pin plug I came across, Is from the (01 RS). From the (Atmospheric Pressure Sensor) I believe, bolted beside the strut tower on the ABS bracket. I'm able to wire 2 of the wires from it, but still left with one. Originally connected to ( C: B136 29p ) RW colored wire from the 01 RS ECM. Should I just delete this plug? I live in Canada AB if that information helps. or if I do want to make this sensor work, is it possible to make it work at all with this merge? can't find anything about if from forums and groups and such. Doesn't the MAF sensor do the same job which in my head I could just delete this then?... I really learned so much these past few months on reading diagrams, wiring and such. and you guys's channel is one of my best guides. Thank you 🙌🙌🔥🔥 You guys are the best.
