i am on a ryzen 5 5600x with a overclocked RTX 2070 and i was having this issue since launch i just was able to fix it after overclocking my cpu and am confused on why that is because i still can't come close to my recommended settings (highest settings on 1080p)

This game is nearly unplayable. On a 3050 ti enemies spawning drop my frames to 15 fps.

Taking my ROG zephyrus apart today and taking off the stock heatpaste and pads amd redoing everything. Got a GT600 laptop cooler. Has a ryzen 9 7940hs, 32g ram, and a 4060. Runs the game at ultra with everything maxed at 30, or if I want an actually good exp, all settings on high, RT off, 4k DLSS on quality and never drops below 60 but on rare occasions. highly recommended, got mine on sale for 1000 bucks. Best bang for buck setup on the market.

There are so many things in this game that hint at developers that have no clue what they are doing, incl. the performance, that i really dont know how long this game is gonna make it. I mean its on the visual fidelity level of Black Desert (from ten years ago!), but it just runs soooo much worse.

This might not be revelant for you since you're using a gamepad, but it might help someone else so I'll leave this here: One thing that was destroying my FPS with stutters was... my mouse. I changed the polling rate from 1000hz to 250hz, the CPU usage decreased a bit and a lot of stutters when moving the camera was completely gone. Some extra general tips: - Watch your VRAM usage, if your game is using more VRAM than your GPU has, you'll get stutters. - Make sure that background apps like Discord and your browser, are using hardware acceleration. Otherwise these apps will hog your CPU resources. - Install the game on a SSD, even a SATA one helps (kinda obvious too but nice to point out).

70% cpu and every patch it overwrites the whole gamesize (34,GB) even if its just a 100mb patch. i can understand that games run bad if they are very high res or math intensive like path of exile but this is just lazy and bad quallity and really makes me not want to play

Issue: My CPU runs in the mid 70's Celcius and my GPU runs low-mid 80's Celcius. I experience hard frame drops in White Night Gulch specifically the area where you can see the mountain and also things like lots of enemies, lag, stuttering, and the worst sometimes is when the game freezes for about 5 seconds then comes back. Its only this game that does this and I really don't know if my 2060 SUPER is bottlenecking the rest of my brand new rig because is the only thing I kept from my old PC. Until I get a 4070ti super or a 50 series when those come out Idk. Specs: I have an I7 13700KF, 96GB DDR6 6400Mhz RAM, 4 TB Nvme SSD, RTX 2060 SUPER FE, 1000 Watt MSI powersupply. Running around 30-70 FPS Game Settings: I JUST REALIZED THE GAME RESET MY GRAPHICS TO (AUTO ULTRA) BRUHHHHHHHHHHHH. 30-70 FPS on Ultra. 5 mins later now I just set it to medium and then low, on medium I was getting around 90 FPS and on low Im now getting 120 FPS and it flows on my 240hz monitor like butter. also saw there was an FOV slider in the settings so I set that too 120. Still running around the same heat on every setting, this is a very demanding game apparently.

I have 0 issue with all high, just have better pc 😂

Its the dookie anti-cheat software. It is so dog water bad, I imagine its constantly searching for 3rd party apps to detect cheats and what-not.

I can run the game on Ultra and it looks pretty good, BUT... My cpu is heating A LOT (almost 90 C despite in any game - I play WH 40K Darktide in ultra settings- my cpu is never ever hotter than 70 C) and Ive observed that all the threads work at average 10 to 15% unless one of them which is always at 85 to 90 % load (6 cores, 12 threads and RTX 4070, GPU never over 60% load); although when loading maps and in transition sequences or cinematics all cores and threads have the same load percentage. Ive tried capping the FPS to 95 (without capping in ultra I hit easily 150 FPS @1080, DLSS frame generation ON, Ray tracing and DLSS escalation OFF) but it goes the same, Ive lowered all the graphic settings at LOW to see if this condition changes in any way but no, still the same one thread overloading, high CPU temp, and the rest of threads at low load percentage. Clerarly something is not coded well in this game.

How to even record with obs with that version of a driver?

i have an i9-9900k wich is still a decent CPu and it loads on 90-100% .....
