put the Briganteen in the water,no wind, used the electric sail. I still have to install the sail controls, and add the ratlines.

all the snow and ice has finally gone from my pond, so I thought it would be good to tryout this winters builds. As usual, not everything went as planned. Dead batteries etc..Briganteen still under construction

ice has gone after two months and it is time to try out the freighters and the tug. There are still a couple weeks work left to do on the tug, but the freighters are finished. lots of reballasting required on the railbed, and the shrubbury needs attending to

tried out the freighters in the pond (first Sunny day in the last two months) both need ballast and servo adjust . Lots of work to do yet, but are alright so far.

an update on progress of the hulls that I started a few weeks ago . Eastholm (95' ) is a Union Steam ship co vessel and the Haida Prince (145' ) is a Northland Navigation vessel

three hulls are ready for glass and resin.

frames for the Gowland ( Inlet Knight ) are cut and pushed together, not yet glued as I have to make the spacer blocks. I will do so and then start the ( planking) plating (they are all steel boats). Maybe tomorrow

found some plans on the weekend ( a week ago) so I decided to scale them up to 1/35 and start puting them to use. yesturday cut and glued the frames for a coastal freighter and today I cut and and glued the frames for a Clyde Puffer ( added some frames to the mid section to make it longer).

had to build a duck house and a chicken coup for the the kid's new family members

work in progress, not perfect but way better than it was. All new king pins, bushings,links,tie rods and ends, new exhaust, tires and stock wheels. dents pounded out and stripped to bare metal, my first attempt at a paint job (a little rough, but it will protect the car). Bottom scraped and wire brushed and undercoated.

I have owned this car for just over a year, have had the seats reappholstered, new links and bushings in the suspension, new exhaust manifold, chock rebuilt and have installed new gaskets in the engine also painted engine and general clean up. I'm very impressed with how this car drives, floats but doesn't lean. my favourite car.

I have owned this truck for the last year, had to rebuild the head, clean out plugged water jackets and take all the sludge out of the engine (splash pans were full of solids). It now runs cool with a steady 15 psi of oil pressure. New windshield frame, redone breaks and suspension parts as well as new radial tires and tightened steering makes it driveable at top speed (close to 50 mph). Brian ...
