Let's wear purple hair to showcase democraps upcoming vote.
Thank you for this
What a wonderful guy
First
Remarkable thank you!!
Thank you. I hated to think about what brought me here, but what a blessing this presentation was. A gift. My lawyer sent me here in her infinite wisdom. This information made me to move toward radical acceptance vs stuck in ... well, just stuck.
Is this shown in schools? If not, why not?
Proud Alum ❤
I love how WU tries to make it a big deal for the kids. When I arrived at college they said, "Oh you're here? Cool. Here's your room key " 😂
just wow!
Absolutely love this. Young men and women, more than ever, need to hear this message of hope and encouragement! ❤
😊ty for this video
Dr. Collin's speech makes me proud to have chosen Walsh University for my MBA studies. Swords Up! ⚔
Am blessed
Good
You have a lot to give, Hannah! God bless you and keep sharing your gifts with others!
Excellent presentation.
Loved the video! Just wanted to throw this out there (totally fine if it's not a good fit!), but I'm a video editor and I sometimes help creators improve distribution by making their content a bit more snackable for viewers. Think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips! Would love to chat if you're interested.
It is encouraging to see Walsh strongly supporting the SoR. Ohio has a long way to go but the changes I've seen the last few years are fantastic. President - IDA Central Ohio
I love this guy's passion 😂🙌
Tune into the show on Thursday morning. I interviewed Dr. Collins on the podcast and he brought it! 🔥
Trying to absolve ourselves from guilt while making ourselves clean and blameless. Silly in many ways
Walsh University's Division of Education has been a true asset the community, preparing outstanding educators for decades.
Swords UP!!
been an addicit for over 53yrs with periods of soberity ,mostly wheninprison, this hasmade more sensewhy the 12 steps are so important thankyoudr nicole labor ,ileft message for you onmessenger
You make me cry. Beautiful! Thank you for your work!
I love Walsh university, can't wait to join the group for my masters program
This is, without a doubt, the most thorough and understandable presentation of addiction I have ever seen. The "matter of factness" and medically supported logic helps anyone who has ever dealth with or been associated with addiction to understand it. This should be a requirement in the education of every single healthcare professional. As a surgeon, I have spent 2.5 years attempting to fully understand the mechanisms involved with addiction that lead to actions that often are unexplainable and non-defensible. These actions are often incredibly uncharacteristic of the person we know and love. Highly advised to watch and send to anyone you know involved in medicine, at any level, as well as those who are stuggling with addiction personally or dealing with someone who is.
Amazing video. Thank you Dr. Labor for helping me understand my disease
Thanks for sharing! I’m also an Aspie & I graduated from Walsh a couple of years ago
God is real, and he is the key. Use the 12 steps. Starting with steps 1-3 are the crucial key to opening a door to a new world. At first, don't worry about who God is, but know he is there to help you.... if you admit step 1, you can begin a new life (or sometimes a life).
Government & "the elites" know full well how to keep the stigma going strong...that is by letting the scenes on the streets get worse and worse.
Amazing presentation.
America is a caring, conscientious and hard working young lady! She's a blessing to Walsh University!!!!
Great! What are the requirements for the scholarship for international students
I appreciate your bold and courageous spirit and reaching out to help others. Thank you and God bless you and your work.
Walsh is awesome! 10/10!
LETS GOOOOOO VELDO!!!!
This person sounds like they have done a lot of work, but she has not looked at all of the new research that has come out about trauma, even small-t trauma. Please listen to Dr Gabor Matè and also Dr Bessel van der Kolk, whose decades of work and research into addiction and childhood trauma now explain why our society is becoming so dysfunctional, triggering depression, addictions and even suicide. It is easy to say that addiction (of any kind) is a disease, when you don’t understand that addictions are actually coping mechanisms for all kinds of deep or repeated trauma, even small-t trauma. These doctors now logically explain why and how our addictions, both psychological and physical ‘disease’, including multiple sclerosis, lupus, fibromyalgia, cancer, etc, develop as a response to traumas of many kinds. What they have found makes much more sense than just saying that addictions are a disease. I have been able to heal and change my lifelong depression, without any medication. Many, many other people are now doing this! You say that only one in four are addicted because of trauma, however, your definition of trauma seems to be very narrow and does not include small-t traumas. Please listen to what more and more doctors are now finding with their patients. Addictions are not only about drugs or alcohol. These doctors show that other activities can be more ‘acceptable’ addictions and behaviours. These include shopping, workaholism, perfectionism, gambling, food disorders, sex, sugary foods, etc, anything that, as Dr Matè explains, “brings immediate pleasure, but is difficult to stop and which has negative consequences “. In addition, Dr Peter Levine and others, have developed successful, non-medication approaches which are helping people with all kinds of psychological ‘conditions’ and addiction.
keep up the good work Megan, we are proud of you
So proud to be a Walsh alumna❤💛
I'm in a Celebrate Recovery program. I've been practicing Al-Anon since the early 80's. I've learned to build boundaries that keep addicts out of my life. A friend sent this video to me. I got curious to learn if there's any new information. I listened to the whole thing. I believe diabetes is addiction. Shopping can be. My great-grandfather was a pharmacist addict who died from his addiction. Same with my dad and 3 husbands. She said nothing I've not already heard . I've done my share of living in the cold, and I've done more than my share of walking loved ones to their grave watching their bad choices. If I want to have a good life, it's up to me. I've watched too many die.
Well at least you’re alive. Also diabetes is a disease that can be created (type II) from food addiction for sure. But realize these aren’t only ever bad decisions. People are more complex than you make them out to be
@@Songsandpoemsfromus isn't that our mission in life? Decipher good / bad choices
Amazing person right here
purple person right there...
Oh no it's Barnny's sister!!! Does anyone take this thing seriously. The fact she has purple hair is a sign of mental illness (emilkirkegaard & psychologytoday). What a joke
It’s so helpful for me to be reminded being a drug addict isn’t my fault, only my responsibility to follow through with recovery if I want change. We do recover ❤️🩹
🎉🎉🎉🎉
My dream , God please lead me 🙏
So proud of you Malikah Albadawi 🤍🇸🇦
