Glendale Community College does have that barn Piano. Its not the nicest one but it does the job. The thing here is, the Piano at The Americana is technically private and not owned by the city of Glendale. Yes, I'm lucky I had the chance to play it back in 2008, but as I said in your other video, I had permission and was actually invited to play it, I didn't even ask. You're extremely lucky things didn't go wrong because I just looked up that make and model of the piano. Yes its a Yamaha piano, its not as nice as a Hallet Davis and Co in terms of sound quality, but in terms of price that thing is like $22 grand. Putting a cup of coffee on it wasn't smart.

I had the opportunity to play that exact Piano back in 2008, 2 months after The Americana opened when the Piano was by the elevators. The difference is the piano player who was hired to play at the time invited me to play it, and I had security guarding the piano as I played it. I wasn't very good and I played stuff that I made up, but it was still pleasing to the ear for people otherwise they would have stopped me. I even got recommend a book to look into by the Piano player himself. I was in high school at the time, I'm now in my 30s. Keeping my identity a secret, and you're lucky you didn't get the police called. They don't mess around here.

I’ve seen that piano before in my visits to Glendale to see my grandparents. Good on you for standing up to them and playing it. What’s the point in having a piano for it to sit unused?
