    Not a med student but from a patient's view, EXCELLENT!!! video. This is the only video I've found that accurately explain the this subject- (minus) the overly clinical bullshit and yet not speak to me as if I were a 7 yearold You are a EXCELLENT TEACHER my friend... tip-of the- hat to you.

    Thank you so much for explaining this! I just never understood why in the plateau phase if there is a one to one trade off of calcium and potassium how is the electrical Potential difference kept the same if calcium has a charge of +2 and k is +1 . Does that not factor in?

    Finally, someone that clearly explains this! I was very confused about the seeming contradiction of easier depolarization = less efficient heart rate in hyperkalemia. But this makes sense now!

    Hello Doctor, I have intestinal paralysis. I visited more than one doctor and did not find a solution. I lost my weight. I weighed 80 and now it is 49. I always feel heavy with fullness and satiety. I vomit every meal. I became like a skeleton. By God, my life is tired and destroyed. Is there a cure for this disease?

    Thank you so much for this detailed information. I’ve had an ilues twice and a bowel obstruction. I also went to the ER About two weeks ago thinking I had a bowel obstruction because I was throwing up , in severe pain, couldn’t eat or drink and hadn’t pooped or been able to pass gas for several days. Taking exlax and other aids only made me sicker because fireworks pain was going on in my intestines however all the pushing on this planet wouldn’t allow poop or gas to escape. Also during these ilues type times I feel almost paralyzed in my intestines, like they are dead, I look nine months pregnant and feel like death. During one three week hospitalization with an ilues I had the ng tube, and one particular night I starting shaking and drooling, my Bp fell to 70/40, I asked the nurse if I was dying and she said nothing but smiled and kept working on helping me. I swear I thought that was it for me. I was terrified and when I got sick a few weeks ago I felt that death feeling again. What can I do to prevent these ilues flares from returning? 😢

    Sorry my understanding is that preload is volume related as it occurs during relatively very low pressures of diastole; ie. diastolic volume…

    • @acepance5592
      @acepance5592 2 года назад

      Preload is defined by the stretch of the myocardium at the end of the diastole once the ventricles are fully filled before the next contraction. End diastolic volume refers to the volume.
