What does it accomplish to weld up the feet on the barrel?

I only use Stan Chen SI Magwells on my 1911's.

Did Micro add a slight taper on the disconnector rail? It looked like there was a short relief of the disconnector rail from the breech face back a short distance.

Nice to see a beautiful pair of Colts customized by Swenson. He practiced every night with a Feinwerkbau air pistol and I think those targets show he was an excellent shooter. I also like that his 45ACP load is written on the targets.

When I first held one of his Hi-Powers I was more impressed than even his 1911 work. However, his revolvers are better than both platforms

Thanks for the video Karl! I'm blessed to have a Swenson gun. Mine isn't a full house build, mostly just slidework, and a new (to the gun) fitted trigger. K-Frame rear sight, shear pin with customer initial, the non-functional barrel positioner, and a fitted Barsto barrel/bushing. My gun was not matted on top, and aside from the trigger work, the frame was mostly untouched. Armand put the customer's full name into the frame too, Burnett. We're doing a bit of an overhaul on the gun, as the finish is pretty much gone, and it needed some new parts. I'll be sure to post a video once that project is done. Thanks for sharing the guns! Those side mounts detract from the value. There is nothing worse than seeing a pre-64 model 70 with either this mount on it or a rifle with the holes in the receiver.

I own over a dozen 1911’s and 2011’s. I’ve never owned a Novak but they look very well made. You just can’t beat this John Browning design. He was truly the Einstein of gun designers.
