🇸🇬 marathon organiser should look at EV motorbikes doing the lead motorcade . I cannot imagine the runners for 42.195 km breathing in carbon monoxide from the bikes ..
Time for a new sponsor for EV bikes
The Singaporean presenter’s accent is ... ...
whats wrong with it?
whats wrong? sounds professional to me
It's fine. Stop picking on everything especially when you aren't perfect yourself.
LOL . . . you are a joke. Its perfectly fine . . . crisp and pleasant.

C'mon, after a marathon in singapore, have a feast at Haidilao to celebrate! Totally deserve this after months of training!
It seems a bit longer than 5k?
❤❤❤😘
Sound quality was poor, unfortunately.
Terimakasih...
Hi coach I going to participate 10 km and I want to be a first place 🥇 is it possible to beat in 30 minutes
Thank you🙏
My second standard Chartered marathon. I hope i will finish my half marathon.
for muslim participants, where we could do subuh prayer?
I hope have enough money and permission from my parents to join this 😢. Run lovers from Indonesia.
Finish strong !!!
Looking forward to my 15th Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon this December 2024! 🇸🇬🏃🏻♂️
🔥💪🏻😍
How did the runners pray fajr? Praying time 5.30 and flag off 4.30. Were they allowed to pray on the side of the road or are there any facilities to pray fajr during the race?
Any chance we could go back to an evening race in the future? The reasons are obvious and simple. A 4:30am start time means we have to get up around 2am, which also means most of us won’t be able to get a good night’s sleep. Furthermore, once the sun comes out around 6ish, it just gets really hot, rendering the second half of the race for us non-elites more painful than ever. I know there were all kinds of traffic problems back in 2019, but I am pretty sure there are ways to fix the issues and make the experience more pleasant for both runners and non-runners. Please consider it!
I crossed the finish line a few minutes after Zac. It was absolutely brutal for me, and I could only imagine what it was like for him. I know Zac said he doesn’t want to run another marathon again, but that’s what we all say to ourselves each time after a tough race. I also said I don’t ever want to race in Singapore again, but now I really want to go back and run a better finish time. And so maybe, just maybe, Zac may change his mind, and we will meet again. Congrats again!
Soh Rui Yong better buck up, he just lost to Rose Chelimo who ran a 2:37. The Kenyans are probably laughing at us right now
RESPECT!
Running in 32C is not easy
Respect sir 👍🏻 Hope to see you in December SCSM 2024

Im so glad to joined this race last year.
Absolutely the best race I ever joined as of yet.
🔥
👍👍👍👍👍
Having flown in from a much colder place, I knew what I was getting myself into when I signed up, but still, the 4:30am flag off and humidity were quite a challenge. And good thing that morning was cloudy with some rain, otherwise us slower runners would have an even harder time once the sun came out. I actually missed the evening race in 2019. The atmosphere was a lot more festive, and I didn’t need to worry about finishing before the sun came out.
Jinnytty brought this video to my youtube recommendation
at 20:20, why does Rose Chelimo have the SG flag beside her name when she is not from Singapore?
At 1.06hrs, organiser have to make sure casual runners should not allow to take drinks station that are not allocate for that particular kilometre. See how casual runners not in discipline caused disrupted on elite runners taking their drinks. Just imagine elite runners speed will able to knock slow runners if they are blocking their way
can strong radiation from 5G/4G in CBD area affect elite marathon performance?
Yes it does. It's called uncontrolled ROS production.
@@Anaconda-xr4in Thanks for the info. I googled ROS production and 5G and there was at least 10 scientific articles sprung up just wow. This is news to me and have been speaking with my wife on migrating to Chiangmai in the future as we had health problems since 2021.
@@Phang-dj8ts you are welcomed. stay safe from 4G/5G :)
I know for sure, these are non smokers and non beer drinkers…
some good points had been raised----it's true our national champion sry has so much advantage in this modern era compared to past 6 years. i dun remember there was any maurten hydrogel in 2017? neither was there supershoe and pebax foam, no superior training method like train hard and rest harder? i'm curious too as to why he only run 2:40? there must be some variable lingering out there that is hindering his performance. i'm not trying to raise any eyebrows but i believe it's gotta do with the widespread 5G electromagnetic waves in the country.
or he just became fat due to eating too much takagiramen, who is one of his sponsors
@@erchguyj1234 well takagiramen is more like a fast food chain for me. their ingredients are of very low quality and non-organic in nature. never liked it and the fact soh rui yong had to resort to takagi ramen to sponsor him rather than real sports brand tells me his sport career at an all time low. food wise it's still ok but the real cause at least for me is singapore's powerful 5G electromagnetic technology
Soh Ruiyong looks very subpar as he couldn't even run 2:37 when his pb is 2:22:00? not sure why people are celebrating his slow performance? this was easily his worse marathon performance in history as he had supershoe underarmour advantage, maurten hydrogel and yet only 2:40:33? Very pui pui pui.
He is still the best in Singapore though. Singaporeans just aren't very good runners compared with those from other countries.
@@bestwl like seriously? he not paiseh? did you know how good he was in 2017 when he running 2:35 ALONEEEEEE for 42.195k without underarmory supershoe and maurten hydrogel? few months before that he was running 2:28 at the sea games in the same weather. now in 2023 he run 2:40 he had pace and tailwind support for the last 10km from the 1st girl, have supershoe, maurten and some say some drugs bought online (??). Guys really need to have some sense of scale here eh? he had what seems like a ton more advantage today and this was coming off his best year where he broke national records like falling dominos just too easy. do you think he didn't really want to win this year's marathon in style and stamp his authority by running sub 2:30 on home soil at least? you bet he was desperate to do it especially with so many drug naysayers i'm seeing around town. you know but he couldn't do it and still try to hide his failure by saying that he was just aiming for a sunday LSD and support our local runners? Sorry pui pui pui just for context.
Are you implying that he didn't beat the first lady who ran 2:37:19 and so isn't good enough for his standards? If so then I fully agree with you. In 2017 he beat the first lady Pamela Jepkosgei who ran 2:38:30 when he finished in 2:35:56. He was 2.5 minutes ahead. Fast forward to 2023 the first lady ran almost the same time with her 2:37:19 but this time Soh Ruiyong trailing more than 3minutes behind in 2:40:35. In 2017, he was still considered a newbie marathoner and if he lose to the first lady he can still be excused. But in 2023 he is considered a veteran marathoner with more knowledge and understanding of the marathon and how his body can handle it. Yet he performed worse. And you are right, there is a deafening drugs suspicion hanging around his neck like a noose in addition to tons of misconduct and inappropriate behaviors throughout his athletic career. I'm not sure if he is banned but he should be for life.
Umm, he didnt train as much as previously.
@@Willyliu-ox8crwhere is this drugs suspicion coming from though? I don't see any articles related to Soh taking drugs
