Wow! The first car I bought myself (my second car) was a 63 GP. Mine was a basic model, but it was white with a white and red interior, much like this one. That was in about 1971. This video sure brought back some great memories!

Love that car,the pale yellow, 8 lug wheels,hell some came w/ 421 ci.& fiberglass bumpers .

With 9" slicks she should be capable of high 12's however, it won't. This was probably the quickest pure stocker in '63 in a 1/4 mile. (7" tires and full exhaust) I knew a guy that inherited a '63 Bonneville with this combo. It would run a 13.8 on redlines......

I gave my 63 GP SD away in 1988. My neighbor gave it to me in 87. I found the lugged wheels to be an irritation. (ha ha ha ha ha ha) Only now am I fully aware of DeLorean's genius. I appreciated his modular requirements and maintained a winning fully legal and compliant stock circle track racing company for five years mixing and matching his colossal OEM inventory. "Cash for clunkers" cratered its economical viability. However, I could build a 90% OEM 62 SD clone tomorrow if ms Franz would only answer her phone. :/
