Heath Hansen has been chasing elk since he can remember. While there are many people right now who are chasing the sexy "get as deep as you can into the backcountry" trend, we discussed the positives of staying mobile when you are hunting a new area and specific tactics around hunting thick timber.
A native of Montana, Heath is an accomplished hunter and has a special affinity for chasing big game with the bow. Heath obsesses over the details of the hunt and targeting older age bulls.

Can deer smell the thermocell or will inhave to be cognizant of the wind?
@@terellloper194 Way I look at it is this. If they can smell the Thermacell they can smell you. Have to have good wind regardless of Thermacell or not. As long as the wind is good you should be good. I literally could not sit in a tree here in SC this time of year without one. The mosquitos look like they came out of Jurassic Park
@@donotgoquietlypodcast thanks. I been looking into getting one because I'll be hunting the swamps here in north Florida when bow season starts and the mosquitos are like miniature birds here. I was scouting recently, I forgot my insect repellent and they let me know. Again thanks for the response.

I’m pretty sure most of the hunters are in church while the soft feeling men are out crying over things their told to fear😷 🤷♂️😂 It’s not completely 50/50, but people who are at church and understand why usually aren’t afraid of bs 😂
Think it depends on where you live. Definitely true in some places but I’ve run into a lot of guys who feel mis-placed in their local churches as well

There are about 4000 pumas in Colorado. Culling 10% a year seems very high.
You’re not taking into account new births. A female mountain lion can breed year-round and typically will have one to 6 cubs per litter. There are not more permits issued than would exceed the population growth of any cats Given hunting permits for. Hunting is part of the conservation model that keeps them from over breeding and reducing ambulate populations like deer and elk.
Just remember the more you say it out loud.The more people will hear it.

Jeff Scott didn't say it specifically, but im convinced Dabo is at lleast one coach he's taking about being sick of this mess CFB has become, and probably thinking about quitting. You can see how continually frustrated Dabo's been the past couple years in his pressers. Will be the sadest day in Clemson football history if it ends up happening. :/

Coach Scott was in my studio. Orange helmet is from a team I was affiliated with a long time ago. Not Clemson. I have never worked with them and don't have a Clemson helmet. If anyone has one to donate, I'm glad to add to the studio ! I was at Carolina 4 years with his Dad thus the Carolina helmet.

Life is kind of funny. I remember jeff scott and his brother when they were just wee little lads bouncing around our neighborhood on the north end of tallahassee. His father sure is a fine man and i'm sure jeff is too.
Or maybe we just get rid of NIL and prop-up minor leagues like the XFL to act as the minor leagues. It’s the only solution. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Oh MY GOODNESS!!! I am dying laughing as I remember ALL of these moments growing up in J-town. From elementary school playground…6th grade camp(I still have my Pink Panthers scarf!)..Jenison Jr High…JHS…and BEYOND! MANY more memories I could add, like: Boulder Bluff ice skating pond, Maplewood Lake, Homecoming/Proms, JHS football games, how we communicated way back then by passing notes between classes, clothing trends for the ladies @ JHS, favorite teachers, Powder Puff games, making the graduation open house rounds, Halloween shenanigans, taking the bus to Woodland Mall, what an AWESOME walk down memory lane!!
