It's about balance. I mean my generation grew up with The Cosby Show, Living Single and other shows about functional people. Sure there were some gutter shows but there was balance. Media doesn't care about balance anymore beyond the account statement and our reputation is the collateral damage.

Excellent point....but please understand that this is all By Design! Listen to any Rap Song, and they start out with the N-word and use it throughout the Track! Yet when people around the world call a black person by the N-word, we are immediately offended! But yet we buy and support this BS Music! People around the world Innocently think that this is what you would prefer to be called, otherwise why would you use it in Your Own Music!!

John Singleton and Tyler Perry aint did us no justice, but got paid millions on the pictures they paint. We aint had a quality black TV show since the Cosby show, Family Matters, A Different World.. Don't even let me talk about all these rap and hip hop videos and how they portray black men and black women... We get what we ask for.... Black lives wont matter to 'them' until they matter to us.

It's funny you say this but it's so true I can hear mom voice on some of my bad days .(even though she's no longer here) she might say to me get up and fix yourself up and let's go get a steak dinner, yes it's Waffle House but I felt like a million dollars when my momma finished talking to me. That was the beauty of it. Mom would pick you up out of the muddy clay and put you on a pedestal and she would say one monkey don't stop no show. What a wonderful memory.

Sorry Brother to hear that, I was born and raised in LA 1966 to 2005, I live now in Las Vegas but in LA as Black men and the Latino's we always Nod and say what's up. I think it's the new generation . it was never like before. you can still chat it up with old Blacks and Latino's and what I miss from LA both sides we joke around a lot
