Welcome to Back to the Roots.
Since I am a big fan of the Commodore 64 and Amiga home computers, I want to present you longplay primarily for these two systems. However, this does not exclude other platforms.
My videos usually show as much content as possible. I try to avoid trainers and cheats if possible, unless playing through without cheats is an almost insurmountable hurdle. In these cases, the affected games are commented accordingly.
My video schedule calls for a new video every sunday at 11 am.
If you like my videos, feel free to leave a comment or subscribe to my channel.

[C64] Bounty Bob Strikes Back! - Longplay
For whatever reason, Kemco decided to make an unlicensed(as in, no one behind this game was involved with it & was made without their permission) port of this to the Gameboy in 1993 as Mickey Mouse IV, or The Real Ghostbusters in the US, or Garfield's Labyrinth in Europe.
4:21... i am so much in love with that part... :)
A nice Game!
What is the use of TIME bonus ? When picked it seems to not alter time counter at all ? Am I wrong ?
We are here ready
Still can't believe the programmer being 16 year old when he wrote that game...
Your biggest foe in this game are the woeful controls, not the stalkers!! Good grief, watching you play this game brought back some dreadful memories of attempting to play this turd of a game as a kid! 😒😒
One of the best Huelsbeck Songs ever. Kudos
I remember this game. My dad bought it for me when I picked it out of a bargain bin at Fry's Electronics when I was like 10 years old. It looked like Final Fantasy 7 (which I was obsessed with at the time), so naturally, it caught my eye. I wasn't disappointed, because as a kid, it honestly surprised me when I found out that the game was fully voice acted.
The Game Over music Reminds Me of Miami Vice: Hostile Takeover.
the infodump at the beginning reminded me a southpark episode.
A private is sent in alone to do a special operation behind enemy lines, and after managing to survive and complete this suicide mission successfully he is promoted to...corporal :D Got to love the scenario. Thanks for the video, this is a pioneering classic of a game.
I used chatGPT to find this 😅
I gotthe nintendo ds version for my son and now the switch
Played this a looooooot was our favorite. Curtais closed, big old heavy tv sound on the stereo. We loved and still do, the music. Gme play is great
Loved this game as a kid but never made it past stage 6 I think - I always got lost in this condemned buildings 😅 Thanks to this channel I could finally see the entire game
Ost de fou, ce son
Nice shooter for Amiga but looking videos online I discover that the music of stage 5 and 7 are the same of the stage 3 of the first Turrican.
Now, it might not seem a lot nowadays, but this was one of the first times a game soundtrack was treated in a cinematic way, with consistence, on the Amiga - and you can tell! Does its best in a hi-fi system connected to your A500!
Absolutly Amazing! I played this game 1000 Times or more, and still play it on emulator today :) Give the Synthi a few Stereo effects and and badass bassdrum, and it still holds up against todays Cyberpunk and Synth Music! Love it!
USE WATER CARDS!
lol. intended solution is to have sloth raise the platform to let the oher goonie get up. silly that it's not needed after all.
I watched the entire playlist. I churned out of the game after a couple hours as a kid because it was sooooooo slowwww. It's nice to see how much creativity and artistry was there, alongside the clunkiness.
Doskias the bosskias has lostias the plotsias
Memories playing whith c64 conected to a hifi equipment, missing this experience now listening from a regular headphones. What a great F. A. M. E. game.
lol Maya sends all the nonverbal folks with Grubb
Nice!
The music in the Egyptian levels is inspired by Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers’ “Egyptian Reggae”
Such a long game to receive a crappy ending! Great job completing the game
Not the greatest game, but at least its soundtrack kicks ass.
Damn, I had no soundcard on my 386 pc, never realized Dune had a soundtrack.
Hello! Maybe you'll like the Remaster, now available for download on B@ndCamp in 96/24 Hi-res Audio Digital Album, with six bonus tracks! Thanks to the modern tools available in 2024, enlarged stereo field, clearer sounds and punchy dynamics, expanded spectrum with crispy high-pitched and mellow basses, makes the sound really better in comparison to the 1997 version. This version pulls you in a higher sound experience!
I’ve spent countless evenings with my dad playing this game. This 8-bit music is with me today. Thanks for the memory tour!
4:05 You missed the best joke of the game! The middle toilet has a potion. All the trouble of unlocking this room and all it has is a potion in the toilet.
A little bit of toilet humor
I learned all my English from playing this game.
Im trying to find a similar game to this, i remember playing as a young child. Point and click game, all i can remember is an image of a character with what i think was wearing a fish bowl on its head. Complete long shot but do you know the game? It was on the commdore
Is there a strategy around stealing?
idk hy but that Shai-Hulud in the video looks funny to me it looks like it's going "eeeaae"
This 7 shell world concept I work on at my core but that is a vulture, a blue bird and a salad
grrreat!
What a game
My favourite Amiga game, and the music was incredible too.
Aquellos años bastante juge
That music (and graphics) is still with me today! 🙂
The music is the true hero in this game, but dont get me wrong. I loved the hole game! Spend hours and hours playing it.
Underrated.
excellent port for the ol amiga.
I played this for hours, uniquely awesome with a great soundtrack.
Other than the music and the helicopter it's not really Airwolf.
The fights are so much more tolerable with the All card!
This dungeon seems truly awful
