Nick a surreal video. I bought my HW80 in around 1982/3 pre Hull Cartridge involvement. G Cardew fettled when weeks old. Closely followed by a Titan Accelerator spring close coiled at one end, shortened by J Knibbs needs washers to give 2-3mm of preload. 3 years ago I fitted a TbT a normal height top hat & the spring guide which broke because I did not tell you about the close coiled spring. despite my mistake, you fully supported me, after getting me to measure the spring, you sent me a 2 piece guide, which is still in use in the 30mm cylinder fantastic back up...

Just bought one of these second hand. Exe airgunner turned full bore service rifle shot then sold up. Have an occasional rat problem which I have staved off with an old Relum break barrel (it has done well but I wanted an HW springer. Rekord trigger is superb so I will check out you fix video and crack in. Thanks.

A great exercise in imagination - however well done in overcoming yet another imposed hurdle to our sport. I cant agree more with your sentiments on the 80 - they are almost indestructible and with the right tune, peerless. Keep up the great work mate.

I really don't like my 80k, bought it as a bit of nostalgia from the 80s, and then realised why I bought a TX instead in 93.. They make sense to the intended American market but not at sub 12, dont know how the Germans use them at 6 lb

Optima moonlighter....blimey that's a blast from the past. I had a mk 1 hw80 in .22 as a xmas present in 1982 and it's the only gun I've owned that just felt right. I still own that gun and when I shoulder it it's like putting on a comfy old pair of slippers. I subsequently bought my dream rifle, a theoben sirocco classic in the 90s which was great but I never got the old slippers vibe with it. I still own that too. I'd sell the sirocco but never the hw80.

My opinion is that it has no meaning to own a HW80 in a country with a 12fp-lbs restriction. You'll never enjoy it's real potentials unless you like the extra weight. The HW50 will be a better choice. Cheers!

With one or two exceptions a Weihrauch is always a good purchase! I used to a have TX200 but had to sell it to pay a bill, miss it tremendously! The HW97 or HW77 are *almost* equal out of the box to a TX200.Tuned it's just a matter of preference.
