And I would recommend not using so much grease because it’ll just cause more dirt buildup than you want. Just a little dab here and there do you need.

You’re going to need to put grease around the ball bearings if not most likely it’ll seize up if a little bit of water gets in. I’m only saying this because you mentioned how you didn’t wanna go get I just know from experience. I’ve rebuilt a lot of stuff with bald bearings, pedals hubs, what not

You need a cone wrench to properly adjust those bearings. They make taking the axle apart a lot easier too. ;)
