You guys did incredible. Amazing visuals, easy to understand. Amazing acting. When all of that is brought together, you get almost attached. Within the 17 minutes, you can feel what the characters are going through, that tied in with the emptiness of the surroundings, the feeling of being alone really let's this be a great film.

50 years ago, when my career as a legal adult began, stories of gays committing suicide were not all that rare in the Midwest of the USA. My career in biology science has included extensive education and scholarship in behavioral science, which outside this domain of study, many do not see as the part of the life sciences that it actually is. I've directly intervened many times along the way specifically to stop a social behavior model that shows fragmentation in the direction of self-destruction, and almost every time my own social position was at risk of compromise for what action was intuitive to stop that possible suicide, and sometimes the disruption actually worked. Usually, the already in place social system integrating their social behavior model will sustain a pressure of reinforcement only delayed by my intervention and eventually they do self-destruct as upholds the values they are embedded within with a narrative of the sacrificial Lamb of God, the sacred crucifixion and the promise of the afterlife. The abstract meanings behind the pattern of the social outcomes is a behavior guidance process. It can only change if guidance in the narrative story socially rewarding participants in that social community result in a community psychology around a social behavior model that does not retain a meaning of death and doom for the youth necessarily exploring into adulthood and experiencing new realization of adult lifestyle realities. In the past 5 decades one thing that happened is the summarized meanings out of conferences now called the "Five Guiding Principles of Unity" and since 1889 essays in Unity magazine has become a defining traditional referenced set of value-ideas among other things supporting the core human rights of everyone including what is now called GLBTQ+ young adults. All seven major world religions at the Parliament of World Religions collectively hold these common value-ideas. (1) God is real and good. (2) Everyone is created by God as creator/source and contains the "Divine Spark" from that indwelling reality in the consciousness from out of the Creator. (3) Everyone thinks their own thoughts are responsible for that fact, with a duty to their own life to own their indwelling power of their own soul, and spiritual capacity and potentials. (4) Some kind of contemplation, meditation or prayer mind-action elevates the mind as a means to practice some focus upon deeper God connection, so it helps to study this part of our mindful living. (5) We are not fulfilled by just thinking good thoughts, and we need to walk the walk not just be talking through our lives. Even with these five principles established internationally in Unity worldwide Ministries over the decades since the 1930s radio broadcast shows, there's a lot of hostile words as if something is wrong with following this affirmative faith and reasoned good-God system of ideas as a focus. And all I say now is that I always reserve the right to change my mind when I find something better, but in 50 years nothing has shown to be better to give some anchor to living even in times of turmoil and uncertain discovery. So it isn't like there is a "magic bullet" answer to stop the problems, but even with all the harassment and even dangerous social violence I'm so glad I always spoke up a narrative of empathy feelings even if I can't agree everywhere on what someone is talking in their crisis. It's not like "guilt" has no meaning, but "shame" is not answered. My best example is in the simple reply, "Go, and sin no more." Not as if saying don't feel gay feelings, or have ways to live adequately fulfilled in safe ways of expression, but conflict isn't necessary. It has seemed to be a "war of good v. evil" in what some say, and that's just not scientifically practical in a reasonable way with good faith in a good God. God did not make things so messed up that we have to kill and die to fulfill our purpose created in love by a good God, and none of the 7 major world religions say that going back 9 thousand years in all possible written records. We have to come around to intervene, and let people live their lives. You don't have to join him if he comes out to you as gay, but surely say as his friend you have no reason to feel threatened by his feelings and you very deeply want him to live his life. Others in a religion may dump on you for it. So what? Your main idea in your life is your connection with your good God. Keep that top place in mind. That's staying in the "Cosmic Flow" and always better. Well, that's just my idea thinking about the very excellent short film story, and thank you. Shalom! Namaste! Peace!
