Xbox 360 ad - "Standoff"
I was sick of watching this in bad quality on RUclips so I downloaded it straight from the makers' website. I guess it's the best we can get...
Congratulations to 72andSunny, the advertising company that put this together.
"The ad never made it to television, and was seen only in brief appearances at Microsoft's promotional events, such as the Zero Hour launch event in Southern California."
That means this ad was NOT banned from airing on TV - Microsoft just decided not to do it.

:v holy crap. i had 100% forgotten this ad. at least i thought i did. but seeing it again brought it out of deeeeeeeeeeeeeep ice storage. no freaking way. wow. i remember sitting in the living watching cartoons and seeing it so many times. every time driving me nuts because i didn't have one. years and years of torture. and then i finally did get one. ahhhhh. memoriessssss. nostalgiaaaaa. ULTIMATE... POWERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Love it. Xbox 360 was the second consoled I ever had aside from the wii, and I was absolutely blown away at how online and interactive the games and party chat was. I would use a 15 dollar headphone from Walmart

For anyone else looking for the original song like I was - it appears to be the Mills Brothers performing "Tiger Rag" composed by Nick LaRocca, specifically the version released by Brunswick Radio Corporation in 1931, but it seems to have been remixed / remastered with additional instrumentation for this ad. It was never banned. It's just that the US has like a mass shooting every other day so they thought it would be in poor taste and would open the door for harassment of actual victims.
