Good fyi. I’ve got seal on the road now.
😂
Excellent torch skills! Greatly needed tool ! Thank you for the video!
Mig welding you should push not drag ,just saying
very well explained video... much appreciate... Thank you sir!! oh the blooper was way too funny 😂
He put the seal in backwards how’s it going to keep the oil in the transaxle with the oil cup facing out
Why on earth did you put new seal on axel before removing the okd one ?
Must have been a backwards day, seal and hub backwards ! Oh well, live and learn.
wow!.. This guy is the real deal !..Very knowledgable. Many thanks !
I've got a Craftsman 54in GTS 5000 with a bad transmission oil seal. Your video was great! Now that I have the old seal removed I can not find a new oil seal. Tried Sears Parts and Husqvarna parts with no luck. Any idea where I can find this seal? Local mower repair shops couldn't help. My GOD, such a simple part.
Good welder !!!!
I very much enjoyed this video. I just acquired a 97 269H so I appreciate the "insight" as what to expect! I rebuild older motorcycles as a hobby. I use similar techniques for fork tube seals. Appropriately sized PVC seal driver. Been doing it for 20 years. Thanks!
I’ve had 6-8 260 series Toro tractors and one of them I couldn’t get the hubs off of.
Hello, I saw you made the tool, amazing! May you make one for me, how much it costs? My email: dfyforadd@gmail.com. Thank.
Nice job, great video
Just about to attempt the same fix on my C161. Seal is leaking so I ought to try and replace it and I watched your vid to get some insight into the problem. This one has been sitting outside for at least 10 years in the British weather so I expect even more trouble than you had. Pity I can't borrow your puller, I'd happily buy you a pint for a quick lend of it. Thanks for the help, nice job.
Absolutely Excellent Video Sir.... and I thought I was the Only One who showed His Silly Mistakes, that was Perfect Ending , very Well Done,..... "Book 'em DanO'"
Why did that seal look like it was installed backwards?
Because it was and it will leak very soon.
Definitely backwards. Cup on the inside.
Good video, thank you. I’m curious, after all the difficulty you had getting the hub off why on earth would you not lubricate the axle before reinstalling the hub? Water is just going to corrode the whole works again? Or since you have set screws, and we’re afraid they wouldn’t bite, seal both ends of the hub/axle with silicone? Just my 2 cents.
if you have air why did you take the hub off by hand? why not use the impact and take it off with ease. still a good video just curious.
Thanks. Very professional, informative video.
very impressive bit of kit you have there
So impressed with your innovation and knowledge. Great job.
