Louis Balfour
I wonder what that medal/button on his lapel is from?
Sounds like a great song
👍👍 Wonderful!
Yep Got mine. 13th October 2001...Stewboss!!
Still sounds the same...what a bloke
If your name is Perfect why change it to anything.
He wasn't the King of England, so marriage to his teen cousin was scandalous! Celebrate his music!
♥️
❤
She a very first woman presenting on top of the pops from 1982 to 1988
I love Brian and his voice so much, its so relaxing to listen to! Actually my favorite person in the entire world, since i was a little kid ‼️
Always comes across as a nice guy
Brian May is a true songwriting genius and is still performing in 2023! His work is amazing.
Best musician in Queen but worst songwriter.
@@willpeony5534 Fat bottomed girls? Under pressure? C'mon!
@@ashleywright8262 Worst songwriter "in Queen", but only by a whisker.
All good, Bob.
Love Brighton Hove good Luck with it all Bob
❤
I Love you ( Beautiful Songbird ❤️❤️ ) Christine I Wish you all the Love in the World Ah But most of All I Wish it from myself ! I Love you I love you I love you like Never before ! Christines Beautiful peaceful songs will live forever in my Heart &;my Home ❤️❤️🙏🙏 She was a beautiful Sweet Warm Person 💕💕🙏🙏 God bless all that loved Her ❤️❤️💕💕🙏🙏🙏🙏🏵️💐🌺🌼🌸🍀🍀💛❤️💙💚🇺🇸🇩🇪 Heaven has gained an Angel !
Such a great loss. I felt as if part of my being was ripped out when I heard she had passed. I cant put it into words, but she took a part of my life when she left.
I completely understand how you feel. I instantly bursted into teardls. I've been absolutely heartbroken and devastated since she died. 😀💔
The BBC will call the chapel of rest when the sad time comes so Bob can do his own obituary.
She was the female version of Jon Lord. Great voice. RIP Christine.
I would recommend that people who know about FM from "Rumours" on, to go back to the earlier Fleetwood Mac albums, particularly with regard to Christine's songs. For example "Show Me A smile" on Future Games, and "Why" on Mystery to Me, and particularly the live version on FM Live at the Record Plant, 12-15-74. That live broadcast is on you tube.
Bob sounds and look like Richard Branson
A lot of Christine's music meant so much to me at the time without me really realising who even wrote it (at the time). It is quite amazing how many of the worlds top musicians and top bands of that era were British. Not the X--factor nonsense we have now... real lasting talent.
She was just Perfect
She was great
Ewwwww. BBC, die a 1000 deaths
No idea who Bob 'Arris or the two hosts are, but RIP Mrs. McVie, you will be missed. Not many, if anyone at all, of today's female songwriter-performers are fit to loosen your sandals ...
Weird that all my favorite Mac songs were with her at lead vocals.
Not weird; Mick pointed out a long time ago that Christine had most of their hits.
I agree!
@@Jojoseahorse Talent like hers doesn’t come around that often.
The Mac meant a lot to me in my early 20s and this is just such sad news. It's had me listening right through their '75-'87 albums again and remembering the love. Legends, all of them.
I didn't know 😥❤
She was so unassuming and was able to both lead and play backup with equal dexterity. I think of that exact moment in the live performance of Rhiannon as a highpoint in 70s music.
Like so many, I though Christine and her music were wonderful. Somewhat ironically, the first tune we heard her sing with Fleetwood Mac was on the 'Bare Trees' album way back in the very early 1970s. It was 'Homeward Bound', and about yearning for the comforts of home versus travelling the world. The first two versus are these: I wanna sit at home in my rockin' chair I don't wanna travel the world As far as I'm concerned I've had my share But time's more precious than gold I don't wanna see another aeroplane seat Or another hotel room The home life to me seems really neat I just wanna unpack for good Thankfully, she was home in England when she unpacked for good.
she was a OK singer but the early Fleetwood mac was the best from the 60s
She was more okay, go listen to her the Fleetwood Mac albums between 70 and 74 and throughout the entire history of Fleetwood Mac. She was the glue that kept the band together for over 50 years.
In her writing she knew how to hit the spot for listener. A gift & a generosity.
Thanks for posting this...TOO sad , TOO young...R.I.P. Peter
The words to Songbird seem to have a much deeper meaning as the years have past .RIP.
I remember first hearing rumours and obviously you remember go your own way and dreams at first but as I've got older all the Christie mcvie songs have become my favourite. An unbelievable talent
I completely agree!
Naga is asking Bob about the 1976 OGWT ....?? That's odd, because the BBC fake Subha Nagalakshmi Munchetty-Chendriah was aged only 001 year old.
"Time to Start ,Running"
Another English great passes from this world. I'm trying to think of anyone current who matches the musicians from 60's/70's. So far I'm unsuccessful.
News is brainwashing and propaganda.
What a very underrated and talented singer/songwriter Christine McVie was. Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Pink,The Spice Girls, Beyonce will never have the talent of this great lady.
Bob Harris is both a British and an American musical treasure. He is loved on both sides of the Atlantic.
RIP, beautiful songbird.
She was a Songbird..,her voice was magic...it just made you float with joy...
Such a beautiful & talented artist was Christine...another one lost to a sudden death that seems to be happening way too often in the last 18 months to fit & healthy folk....
Her Maiden name was Perfect. Christine Perfect. Enough said. Rest in musical peace Christine.
