Absolutely AWESOME Part three Clyde :-D you really have a BREATHTAKINGLY STUNNING collection of 'Phorbies' and they are all so beautifully planted and arranged and displayed, its been very mild still here but I will be moving in all the Euphorbia from the polytunnel back indoors into the grow room over the next two weeks too, our plants definitely keep us busy haha, we LOVED watching parts1, 2 and 3 Clyde and we are so looking forward to Part Four, thanks so much for sharing the Fall 2024 tour of your Euphorbia beauties with us, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants all lots of love and happiness and PEACE, LOVE, PLANTS LANT POWER to Morris Park for a terrific Tuesday XXXX <3
Thanks Lyn!!! Everything is back in the greenhouse! We are expecting our first freeze tonight!! Have to cover the vent fan tonight and fire up the stove! Due to sunshine during the day, the greenhouse will probably be warm enough over night. But it's a good time to check the stove and make sure it works. Glad you enjoyed the Euphorbias!! More to come!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 and the Philippines 🇵🇭 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🪴🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍
Awesome part 3, Clyde 😊 Wow the ones from Edith and myself look so different, they've grown and done so well. The confinalis is huge! 😮 Thank you for sharing with us my friend, look forward to the next one. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself to you & Deb 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜
That Euphorbia at 7:10, BEAUTIFUL! Hope your 2 step cutting plan works on it so you can have more of that beauty.
Thanks Ana!!! Yes, this one has grown really well!! I will try to do the two step cutting method next summer and , yes, hopefully it works!! Thanks for watching Ana!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks out to las Vegas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍
Not sure why mind just starting to turn yellow
Check the roots. May be root rot. Or dry rot which I don't know what causes this. I've lost plants before where they just turn Yellow, tan and just dry up. I saved my Euphorbia tortillas from this by doing a couple of soil changes over about a year. And slowly it came back. One of the very few that survived this condition. Good luck!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks ,have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍
Mr euphorbia do you water your plants in the winter
Depends on the plants. Most cactus and cactiform Euphorbias I let go dry from late October till march.my medusas I give a little on warm days to keep the branches from falling off. If I notice the branches shriveling, I water in a warm sunny day. Many leafy ones like milli I water about once or twice a month. Francoisii about the same . So, some yes, some no. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍

The E. gabazin ( suzanne x bupleurifolia ) is looking good. Glad to see some of the fresh tiny offsets it was producing survived the process of being unpotted, bare rooted, shipped, and re-established in a new pot. A lot of times, a plant going through that kind of stress will absorb and lose those fresh, newly forming pups or branches. The E. persistence is another perfect plant and worthy of an award at a cacti & succulent show. There were a lot of exceptionally nice looking plants in this video. If I had more room here for additional plants you can bet I'd be negotiating to do some trading with you - lol. Is there any Euphorbias that you've had repeated multiple failures with or one that no matter what you do, you can't grow a typical true to form looking plant? Great video!
Thanks Allan!! Yes, the gabizan has done very nicely!! A beautiful plant!!! And yes, my persistans is a favorite. Looks great staged in that bonsai pot. The one Euphorbia that has proved a problem, that was very easy in California, not here is Euphorbia obesa. They seeded and grew like weeds out there. Here I haven't been able to keep one over 3 years. They always scab up and die. I hope it won't be the same for infausta. Already lost one I found this morning . Took cuttings of the offsets, but I don't think they will make it. Looks like rot got up in them too. Other than that, most Euphorbias do well for me. Thanks for watching Allan, and your wonderful comment!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Ecorse Michigan, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍
@morrisparkintheozarks6831 So sorry to hear about your E. Infaustas. Those were really beautiful specimens, both wonderful finds and they made an awesome group planting. I've had my infausta for 2 years, it's doing well and has grown by about 60%. My specimen is solitary, and after purchasing it, I searched all the Lowe's, Home Depot, and Menards within a 20-mile radius looking for a multi headed plant. I found only one plant that had pups. It had only two offsets, not much more than bean sized buds. The plant was in horrible condition with stretched elongated growth from poor lighting and over watering, so I passed on it. My infausta hasn't bloomed or produced any pups, and I've noticed it has lots of tiny purple/red bumps that develop on the older growth that eventually go woody. I'm tempted to call them pimples or blemishes, but pinhead sized bumps better describe them. I'm not very familiar with infausta, and there's not much real literature on them, so I don't know if the blemishes are normal or a pathogen. I don't see the bumps in photos of other infaustas online, but mine is doing pretty good at just growing.
I just love your euphorbia collection Clyde. So many verities I have never seen before !!! Do you ever sell cuttings ?
I don't ever sell any, but I've been known to trade cuttings. I've traded with people here in the US, and the UK, and Ireland. Also some coming from Singapore. So, for my trading I have enriched my collection. Thanks for watching!!! More to come!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Texas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍

Another great video! E. horrida "powder blue", E. resinifera and E. polygona sf x horrida for me are the standouts in this video. Shame how our older plants go woody and bark up. I don't particularly like that trait, but that's what they do. The E. coerulenscens looks like it has really perked up! It was a cutting of an older lower branch that was starting to lean toward going woody, which probably explains why it's taken so long to root and green up. Thanks to your care and attention, it's looking like it's going to be just fine. I'm looking forward to the next installment! 😎👍
Thanks Allan!!! Yeah, the polygona sf X horrida was definitely a lucky find!! Walmart of all places! Hahaha! The powder blue I've been trying to find something about, but nothing out there. Maybe a lost cultivar. I've not seen another since 1984. I love its compact nature ! The heads never get really big, just cluster alot. I've not ever crossed it. I've never crossed my resiniferas before either. Mostly cause I've never had them bloom. They grow great, but no flowers. Part 3 will come Friday! Thanks for watching Allan!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Ecorse Michigan, have a great evening!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍
@morrisparkintheozarks6831 Hard to tell on the Horrida "powder blue," but anyone who's familiar with horridas will tell you right away that that one is really different. It's definitely a plant that makes you wonder how it came about. It could be a mutation or one of those rare hybrids that turned out to be an eye-catching home run of a cross. If it's a hybrid, it could have been intentionally made or just a random one that transpired from natural pollination by insects in some producers' greenhouse. I don't think it falls into the category of "normal variability" of horridas in the wild from one location to another because if the plant was collected in the wild it's so different it would be documented somewhere, have it's own collection number, recognized, named and included in literature. Either way, you and the folks you shared cuttings from it with may be the only ones on Mother Earth to have that plant, and that's very cool!
@@allanpeck8523 yeah, it's funny, I have business cards from all the vendors that were at that show to this day , but I can't remember which one sold it to me 😕. I really wish I knew it's origin. Hybrid or mutation. Very easy to grow. I have another pot of it also. Had a spot of branches die out on it last winter. But seems to be coming back. Kinda like what I call dry rot. Turns tan, drys brown. But that has stopped and as you see is doing quite well. Stay tuned for the next part!! Thanks for watching Allan!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Ecorse Michigan, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🌳🏜😃👍

Nice touch mentioning your native wild and feral Euphorbias. Everything is looking good, but your E. evansii, to my eye is the standout in this video. That's a superb example and looks like something I'd expect to see at a major cacti and succulent plant show.
Thanks Allan!! Yeah, I really love this tree!! When I think back at what I started with, that small 3 inch tall rooted cutting from California cactus center, I'm amazed! I'm hoping the bonsai I made from its main stem cutting grows well. It is growing a little, so it's rooted! Euphorbias are amazing plants aren't they? Thanks Daz!! Yep, time to bring em in! I've done a couple of projects also. Walled in the north wall of the greenhouse with old pallet slats. Eventually I will do the whole greenhouse. I believe it will keep it warmer than it has been during the winters. Also a back up stove for the coldest times. I will show this in the 3rd part video. Thanks for watching Daz!!! I remember that re-potting with the plant going up into the ceiling ... it was cool. By the way, your roof work looks very nice.
Thanks Bill!!! Yeah, that was a crazy repotting! Yes, I'm getting much more sunlight now also. The old ones were so weathered they became opaque. Cutting out more than I realized. Had a little problem with sun burn on some plants because of it. This should bring more heat on sunny winter days also. But just in case I've installed a backup heater. Going to try it out starting it this evening to make sure it works. Thanks for watching Bill!!! And your wonderful comment!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Atlanta, have a wonderful day!!! So I just watered all my euphorbia and cacti. It’s still in the 80s here but next week it’s gonna cool down rapidly. Aka back to normal. My question is. When I bring everything inside do I just not water until April? What’s the game plan?
I believe it depends on species and temperature. While most of my cactiform Euphorbias will be watered until the end of the month. Then dry till late February, early March. My medusas will be watered enough to keep them from shriveling and losing the branches. I also give my monadeniums a little during the winter. But most will lose their leaves . Plants like pulvinata will also one their leaves and not be watered till early spring. My greenhouse stays pretty cool during winter, so watering if necessary is kept at a minimum. If your plants are in the house they may need a little water about twice a month. I want most of plants completely dry but January cause my greenhouse may drop into low 40s, high 30s during a polar vortex when it's below zero outside. Dry is best in this situation. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🪴🌳🏜😃👍
I can sympathise Clyde, pollen season has gone on longer here this year. Have you tried a spoon of local honey a day? It helps sort of innoculate you against the pollen. Lovely forbias 🙂 Mrs Zigs is making me dig up all the outside ones but she hasn't noticed the one I've got next to the cactus house 😬😬🪴🪴🌵🌵

Not seen any hornets this year, hardly any wasps, no honeybees, a few bumble bees and only a few butterflies 😬 Ever read Rachel Carson's Silent Spring? 😬
No, actually I haven't. Bees, wasps , hornets, and yellow jackets are plentiful here!! All different kinds!! These here are an invasive species. I don't know if you have these guys in the UK But these are European yellow hornets. Very wicked!!!! The sting is extremely painful!! I've had the displeasure of being stung once a few years ago. I was cutting some lower branches off our flowering crabapple and I noticed these girls kinda took it over! So I slowly backed out from under it and left it to them. I think they found a little sap hole and were enjoying it. If you noticed, there is another hornet about half the size, black and white in color buzzing around with them trying to get a bit. These are bald face hornets. Also wicked!!! They make huge paper hive like nests. They are native. Both are extremely painful!! I leave them alone!! I've been stung by a few things around here, but that yellow hornet was one of the worst. Besides the stinging caterpiller. That was one of the worst!!! Yes, I did say caterpiller!! Body full of spines!! Every spine a stinger!!! Hundreds!! Like a nest of wasps! Look up io moth caterpiller. Sometimes lime green, sometimes bright yellow like the one that got me. Both phases with a white and red stripe down the sides. Wicked!!! Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🍀🌷🌾🌴💐🌱🌹🌿🌸🪴🌳🏜😃👍

I had one for around 2 years but mine died recently. It would flower so often I got a few thousand viable seeds from it but I think it over bloomed. It kept blooming and making seeds but never grew at all. With all the seedling I have from it I’ll be able to experiment on what I did wrong with my first one.
