Lago di Braies - Dolomites (Italy)
The lake lies at the foot of the imposing rock face of the Croda del Becco 2,810 m and is located within the Prags nature park.
It has an extension of about 31 ha with a length of 1.2 km and a width of 300 - 400 m. It is one of the deepest lakes in the autonomous province of Bolzano, with a maximum depth of 36 meters and an average depth of 17. The maximum water temperature is 14 °C.
The lake is a tourist destination, which attracts visitors for the blue/emerald green color of its clear waters and for the natural scenery in which it is immersed.
