god for you lets see what you have send your outfits to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
I have a pair of white linen pants that always take on holidays they are perfect for a beach vacation. I just recently bought a new pair of linen blend pants at Banana Republic. They are a bit less vacation style and more summer casual and I am really looking forward to wearing them more often, perhaps pairing them with my Astorflex travel loafers in tan. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Roger
sounds great roger would kove to see yout outfits send to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
Hi Robert, regarding something in your jacket pocket, the best bet is a simple white handkerchief. Then it goes with any shirt or tie. Coordinating with your shirt is slightly off.
Good advice well done many thanks send in your outfits to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com share and join the club
Good fitting jacket, not entirely sure the colour works for you. The M&S trousers fit well but do look old school. It’s the pleats.
Well its all about opinions and i welcome all so many thanks send in your outfits
Hey Robert , like your common sense approach to fashion
Thanks very much appreciated
Great video.
Thanks for the visit
Aren't you contradicting yourself? You say shirts with pointed collars "have to go". But why? They have been around for decades if not centuries. Are they perhaps "out of fashion" at the moment? But you said to not follow fashion trends, later! I agree with the square toed shoes, though. They were indeed a fashion trend and should have never "come" (so that they don't have to go)
Ha Ha its the long pointed shirts from the 70s that i am referring to
@@60overfashion Ah, those... right. I forgot about those 😆
I like your effort keep it up 👍
I will try my best not feeling it at the moment it gets harder to come up with something so looking for suggestions
Agree on checking your wardrobe and refreshing pieces .... the options open up if you are in reasonable shape , that helps with self confidence and wellbeing too. And it's another way of meeting and keeping busy if you are single or wanting to expand social options.
thanks for the comments
Love that blue shirt! Where was that from?
H&M think it was £12 i love my bargains
I hope you're not offended by this: I think your videos lack a sense of direction. They are mostly "Look what I've bought at TK Maxx". So perhaps this is the reason why you get such a disappointing feedback from viewers who are at a loss what to reply. Confine yourself to one topic per video: a shoebrand, a tie knot, when to wear a cutaway collar, my favourite style icon, should I wear a hat etc. And give the video a title that a viewer can associate with and not "Mature Man May Shop" Then look at videos by channels that - at least partly - cater for a similar target group: - Chap's Guide which is my favourite. It really shows what such a channel can achieve. - Gentlemans Gazette - Gent Z which although it caters for a totally different age group. Just look at the way of presentation. - British Dapper - Fashion over 40, too American and too brash at times. Still a few good ideas. - Real Man Real Style: far wider in scope and more for a younger (and American) audience, but still quite good ideas. - Kirby Allison I doesn't mean you should copy these channels, just perhaps get a fresh outlook. And remember: I think it took the British Dapper several years before he got 7000 viewers. So don't give up yet. All the best!
thanks Adrian good advise will have a good think
I agree dress jeans are ok as long as they are dark blue. The grey ones you had are cool too. Cheers Ron
thanks for the comment Ron
Don't quit. As an old tv ad used to say: "if something was easy to be done, anyone would do it..."
lol very true but not getting much back from viewers its not easy for sure thanks for the comment
Love the “Folk” shirt, that’s very smart. Have you thought about a suede belt? I purchased a woven suede belt from M&S. I think you should get a couple of Fred Perry polo shirts.
been there seen it worn them have moved on but they still look good thanks for the comment
With the formal outfit at 4:02: I think it would be even nicer to add a colourful tie as this is the chance to add some colour, texture an pattern to an otherwise grey monochromatic look. And if you have a chest pocket, always fill it with a pocket square. If you haven't got an amount of them always go for white. And with the tie knot: I think that a Windsor tie is just too "boring" as it is absolutely symmetrical. So why not try a "Four in Hand" or one of its variations the "Queen Victoria knot". They add a little bit of "panache".
Thanks Adrian all good comments i will consider for sure keep them coming thanks for watching
Wore a pair of white trousers last week. Made the mistake of wearing a pair of freshly polished black loafers. When I took them off I discovered the bottoms of the cuffs were stained blue from laying on top of my shoes! Luckily they were cotton. I rubbed off most of the polish with alcohol,on a cloth. Then washed them normally … no damage done! From now on, canvas or suede shoes!
Black is too formal keep it lighter thanks for the comment post your outfits to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
Love white trousers. They go with everything.
You have seen these before lol
I don't know, but if you pair white trousers with, say, a blue blazer the contrast (at least for me) would be too stark. So I'd rather go with a pair of khaki or at least off white chinos.
Dont wear a blazer with these types of trousers hot weather only summer holiday clothes
I prefer light grey chinos or trousers they look great with navy
I have worn dress shoes since I was a kid. I have found them more comfortable than trainers. I only wear training shoes when taking long walks. I have also found that inexpensive dress shoes will hurt my feet. If you purchase a well-made pair of Goodyear welted shoes they will last you 20 years as the souls can be replaced. You will get more value for your money by buying a good pair of shoes. Penny loafers are a great way to go more casual. Thank you for sharing. Cheers Ron
Thanks for the comments Ronald
1. Always make sure your shoes are either BLAKE STITCHED (most Italian shoes are) or GOODYEAR WELTED. They can be distinguished by having stitching on the sole underneath. That means you can easily resole them. Stay away from cemented (=glued on) soles. They have no stitching on the sole and it is difficult for any cobbler to resole them. So even if they are cheaper to buy initially, it does not pay back in the end. 2. The reason for not wearing white trainers is quite simple: I wear sports shoes (because that's exactly what they are!) only in the gym or on the pitch. No reason for wearing them under normal circumstances .
Thanks for the comments Adrian we are all different but i get you of course.
I take socks which have worn heels, and cut them in half. I use the front half as “no show” socks. I find them quite comfortable. Trim them down to the appropriate length. I love them.
Thats interesting will look at that thanks
You tried Charles Tyrwhitt? They've some excellent clobber, reasonably priced. It's like going into Next thirty years ago.
i have and have a couple of pieces from them
I get most of my deals from charity shops a lot of them are new with tags. I have bought many Brooks Brothers shirts for $6 for a $90 shirt. Cheers Ron
Good man well done i can never find much in them and definitely not Brooks brothers
@@60overfashionyes they are more common here in the US. I have also found some Charles Tyrwhitt shirts as well
Great looking jacket
Thanks!
Great looking shirt I have a Brooks Brothers blue seersucker I really like the oxfords cheers Ron
unfortunate typo there Ron.
@@VicFlange thanks for the heads up! I hate autocorrect. Every time I use the speaker instead of typing this sort of thing happens
Not Oxfords Ron Derbys
@@60overfashion my brain is just not working today.
thats wrong they are oxfords silly me lol
Would like to see the fedora if you've got it. Also a Panama would be great for going out having a drink in the sun. Last but not least a oxford shirt. Bought myself a pink one the other day. Thanks for sharing your video's.
No did not buy it will be still looking for a while i think
Keep up the good work.
Thanks i am trying send in you ideas
Please do a video on matching socks to different outfits! Great content! Thank you!
Will do! I will add comments in next video but think we all know about it
Thankyou Robert! And thanks for the positive feedback, it's very much appreciated and i will continue to implement your suggestions and further enhance my style wardrobe. Regards, Gavin. 👍🏻
Fantastic!
Well done, Gavin. I especially like image three at 3:55; a great look and very smart. Robert, if you could please, in future, let images like these stay on screen a few seconds longer to give your viewers a better opportunity to study each outfit in more detail. Great content!
Thanks, will do! or email me and i will send photos
I would have to say Gavin has nailed it. He looks very much the stylish chap. I get most of my items from second hand or charity shops. Some of the items are brand new with the hang tags so they must have been donated by the store. I live in the US and have picked up nice Brooks Brothers shirts that would have cost $90 for $6. Keep up the good work. Very best regards Ron
Thanks Ron appreciate the comment. send in your outfit ideas too join in
That bright blue short sleeve shirt looks great. Could you elaborate on the turn up length with no show socks? Thanks.
hi thanks for the comment turning up your trousers to a suitable length is not as easy as most people think I turn them up on the outside and then wear them to see the length note also you sometime pull your trousers up so make allowances then turn trousers inside out and repat turn up length. using iron on material makes it easy to remove by reheating and pulling apart hope that helps
@@60overfashionThanks Rob, that’s a good method.
Some great ideas! Thanks

Nice video, nice combinations. Nice pocket square
Thanks!
The straight cut trousers and jeans are excellent, thank god the skinny fit is dead and buried! The navy jacket is a classic and looks superb, and i must say the pink shirt marries it extremely well! Good shout out to all us divorced, widowed and single lonely fellows! 🍻
Thank you appreciate the comment
Some nice outfits worn by the three gents, i do particularly like the tweed jacket! The seude chukka boots look great with jeans, and the stretch denim is comfortable to wear, i have a similar pair myself. The shirt looks great too, you can find some nice quality pieces in Primark 👌🏼
i agree but not many agree with primark its cheap but i get some good things from there occasionally
Steve McQueen vibes with the cardigan mate 👌🏼
LOL i wished just ordered one from M&s might see it this week if it arrives in time thanks for watching. Send in your outfit ideas to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
Very good combinations all of them. Just a friendly observation: the sleeve of the jacket is a little longer than it should be. The ends of the shirt sleeves are missing. Maybe a taylor can fix it.
well spotted but not had time to adjust when filmed thanks for the comment send in your outfit ideas to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
All the combinations with that grey jacket looked great, but you need a half inch off the sleeve length. Would then look perfect!
Thanks for the tips! not sure about the half inch will check it out though thanks
Yep I agree, needs to show some shirt cuff, looks to need 1/2” off
Hi Rob, love those Autograph polo shirts, excellent buys. I think M&S are nailing it at the moment. Have you seen the new M&S Jaeger navy blazers? Linen/silk blend.
hi thanks for the comment will check them out
Beautiful choices

What looked like a humble but snazzy vintage barn jacket on paper turns out in real life (or at least on video) to have a sleek but disjointed wannabe futuristic look. I'd chunk it-it's out of sync with the other garments in the video which are surely more stylish.
thanks for your comments much appreciated i agree
Some nice stuff Robert
thanks Jeffrey send in some of yours
Not even old, just have to gain wisdom from the OG's
er what are you talking about ?
If you don't like the jacket, donate it to a charity shop. There is someone out there who will love it.
true but i wanted to know what others thought
Good video Robert good casual spring style.
Thanks 👍
Any suggestions on jewelry?
Keep it simple i have a silver neckless but dont show it a nice simple watch is the best
Glad to see a channel for us mature men. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
I bought the same trousers from marks they look great with a pale blue shirt and brogue dress shoes
Great stuff jeffery you should have told me about them plus photo
@@60overfashion I’ve so much stuff forgot about them Robert.they look very smart on
Good keep it coming its guys like you who help others so post more email photos to robert60overfashion@hotmail.com
Pants look good. The jacket looks good, but as you said it is cheaply made.
thanks for the comment will go on what the majority say i think.
