Polls in 2022 show that 80% of the citizens think Hungary benefits from the EU. 91% would vote to join the EU today. 46% approves EU leadership vs 40% Orbán's leadership. Hungarians are not stupid. Pretty much everything that has been built in the country in the last 15 years was built because of the EU.

Maybe because they are not required to know a language that is not official in their country. Maybe because you, as a guest, have to learn their language. What makes English so special? In Mexico, Hungarians are confused with Gypsies. Many Hungarian gypsies settled in Mexico, so they think that everyone in Hungary is a gypsy. 90% of Gypsies have brown eyes, black hair and darker skin. They are like Latinos. Hungarians don't like Gypsies. This is not racism, it's just that all Hungarians have had many bad experiences with them. But the world is changing and so are Hungarians and Gypsies. They are starting to respect each other more, but this is not common yet.

Hi, thank you for sharing with your experience! Same here, I also study here in Budapest. Getting my bachelor degree also no one else around it's been though when you feel socially rejected, when no one understands the language you speak, when you are not accepted in new circles cause you are a foriner and when trying to make friends with hungarians they simply don't care and want to be friends ONLY with other hungarians. While that not maybe the case 100% of the time. However, it happens pretty often. Wish you the best time here in Budapest and good luck with your studies🙃

I speak English, Azerbaijan, and Russian languages fluently. I also learned a bit of Hungarian A1-A2 level, and now I learn the German language. This is not an insulting video but rather speaking of my experience here as a foreigner, so I am sorry if that offended any of the viewers.

Well I'm 54 so I have no idea but you'll find them. 16-20 year olds speak very good English, they scroll TikTok ehole day, they puck up. Also many speak German os French as a second language. Well, if you live in EU and you don't speak basic English it will be hard to travel, communicate in international level, get a job in a decent company, you will have generally more opportunities If you know English language
