Thank you for publishing this fantastic video. I also watched part 1. The flood is horrifying, and I feel deeply for all the merchants whose stores were flooded and merchandise ruined. Despite the damage, I was very impressed by the city's beauty, with its gorgeous trees and lush vegetation that create shade and a sense of calmness. I'm originally from Belgium and now live in Los Angeles. This is the first time I've seen what a city in China looks like, and I'm struck by its beauty despite the flooding damage.

Here in Brazil we had similar problems. On May 3rd, the flood of Guaíba, a lake that surrounds the capital Porto Alegre, reached 4.77 meters, surpassing the historic flood of 1941. On May 5th, the Federal Government declared a state of public calamity. I hope that Guilin in China and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil recover as soon as possible so that these people's lives can return to normal. ✋😌 Big hug!

Amazing, not one comment in three weeks? I watched both episodes. A couple of observations: the city seems to have hosed down EVERYTHING already - especially the busier streets. In back of these popular streets, the exterior walls on the small businesses are also cleaned from about 12 feet down. The water may have been as high as you can reach i some places, gauging by the debris in the lower tree crotches. It depends on the elevation of the ground level I suppose, and the flood could be as low as a few feet. Curiously, the store interiors display no mud staining. They all look immaculately clean, even the seemingly abandoned stores show no water line. Thersa couple of tells though; the plastic tarp hanging show the water staining still, the city workers missed because they were rolled up. I wonder if rolling them up to allow us to see the height was intentional? I imagine the city workers barged right in all premises and hosed down everything. Perhaps business owners are mandated to clean. Sanitation to necessary to avoid an outbreak, all that poo. So they probably used a concentrated sterilizing agent in the water. Maybe bleach, perhaps that's why everything's so white. The people are probably kind of toxic from this. This is also about appearances. I wonder if the government has only certain streets you're allowed to film on - ones which show effortless cleanliness. More troubling is the sweltering heat and humidity people may be suffering. Ther is accumulated silt in the drainage systems, the water standing in electrical conduit, lamp and electrical junction boxes, in side walls unseen in unventilated crevices, still in parking garages, motors of all types, air conditioners maybe short-circuited if turned on as moisture is electrically conductive. Actually, clean water is not conductive - only dirty water is. Have to wait until the electrical system drys out, or there may be a big fire.
