Paint With Caleb

Generations United • Digital Portrait Painting Process • Time-lapse
This video shows highlights from my process of creating a digital painting based on about 15 different photo references.
My goal was to create a painting that transcends time and space...
To paint an image of two young boys together with their father and grandfather...
But, you see, the grandfather passed away when the father of the boys was only eight years old...
His grandsons never had the chance to meet him.
I hope this painting brings peace and hope to all those who continue grieving the loss of this good man.
I used Photoshop CC to create this digital painting.

This is a large ceiling tile I painted in honor of the graduating class of Rockwell Charter High School, where I had the incredible honor of teaching art and design. The marshal has a roll of toilet paper attached to his belt and a mask on to remember 2020-2021. Painted with Master's Touch acrylics.

Hello! I created this thumbnail myself in Photoshop, based on the drawings I created myself in this video. Can you help me understand why you think it was stolen?
The fact that I can understand it better than most tutorials is amazing. I am very grateful for this tutorial. It helps me so much.
Hey! Thanks so much for saying that. That means a lot. I’m really glad it helped you. I hope to start doing more videos in the near future.

Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked it!
THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!! I just found out recently this year that I am missing the basic shape knowledge! Ive been learning since and HOLY COW realizing this has TRUELY opened up my art. Please note that I was one of those kids who only did "Observation drawing" going RIGHT for the detail every time!
Wow! Thank you for saying that! I am so stoked that this video has helped you! Training your eye to see things as shapes is so valuable! I’m so glad you’ve had that breakthrough and I’m sure it’s beginning to show in your art. Keep up the great work! I hope to publish more videos soon so be on the lookout! Thanks for your comment.
I just made a bunny and cat using this video, probably the best 2 drawings I’ve ever made
Oh my gosh! How awesome is that! So cool. I'm proud of you! Keep drawing! Good structure is very important for a good drawing, but that structure doesn't have to be hard or take a million years! Basic shapes are magical!
Best in the world man! Keep it up.
Thank you so much! I hope to create more videos soon!
not perfection- just the very best you can
Yes! That’s what it’s all about! People get burned out if they expect perfection. Just doing your best allows you to grow and accomplish great things! Expecting perfection often leads to frustration, lack of fulfillment and giving up. Don’t give up!
@@paintwithcalebthis is such a good advice, thank you.
When i was young and had "picture/drawing" classes in school, my teacher gave us box with magazines and told us to take page from this magazine and draw one of the persons, he also told us to draw the picture upside down ,because its easier for the "left and right side of the brain to work together this way" , he said the reason its tough to draw something is because the both sides of the brains arent connected yet while drawing, once they are- it becomes easier to see details and get it down on paper. Very interesting way of thinking and he was a VERY good teacher!
That’s great! I flip my art upside down at some point nearly every time I draw. It’s SO valuable!! A great way to see things with fresh eyes and to draw more accurately. Thanks for watching and commenting!
This video is really helpful. You definitely deserve more than 3k subs
Great easy to execute description.Keep up the good work. I am interested in what program/tablet you use for drawing❤. Thank you

Great tutorial God loves you and God bless! and i thought id share some verses if you or anyone is interested!
The Greatest Commandment 28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” 29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.” 32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. Whose Son Is the Messiah? 35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”’[h] 37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?” The large crowd listened to him with delight.
Matthew 25:31-46 New International Version The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Sounds like the music from Neature
Thank you....
