Ace used a kind of tap tecnique in the solo of Shock me; if I am not wrong, it was one of the first to use that. He did it before Eddie Van Halen. Ok, Eddie did with more skill, but Ace did that first. (Did he talk about this issue in the video? I didn´t find)

Shock me is similar to Cold Gin now that I listen to him break it down. I could hear Gene singing: “My heaters broke and I’m so tired!” “Shock me! Cuz It’s cold gin time again,,,,, so put on your black leather,,,” Being off work for medical gives me a lot of time on my hands to think 😂

Now, I'm not a musician and couldn't play a guitar if my life depended on it, but from what I know about Ace Frehley he can't read music but plays by ear. If this is correct then he is a natural. And from what I have read about him, he is underrated. That is probably right. For any musos out there that do read this, please feel free to share your thoughts and by all means correct me if I'm wrong.
