@@joeduggan5194 There is a good mark in playa blanca called the Castillo de San Marcial de Rubicón de Femés its just behind the Big fake Volcano , its a LW mark tbh and relatively safe spot to take kids with an easy way down , stepping on black rock is very slippery so try stay on the yellow rock that covered with small barnicals . Best times to fish are first light and last light for Sierra and Cuda , smaller species will bite all day long so if possible I would take a 10 - 40 gr and maybe a 30-100 gr to cover most bases (Shimano STC's are great travel rods) also a little telescopic roach pole is a great way to catch many species with prawn , squid and uncooked bacon rind being great baits. You are not allowed to fish of beechs unless 200m away from swimmers , neither can you fish from ANY harbour walls( big trouble) but can fish from ALL rocks, and you also need a licence which last for 3 years for about 35 euros ( best get before you go) I will also be on the island from the 3rd to the 13th but up in PDC . Evening fella , sorry to hear you had a tough time in Kos , I have a friend who was just over there and he had it tough too but managed a few mini species on the LRF , we also had a really tough time , we didn't blank though , we managed 3 small cuda 1 lizard fish and a very annoyed puffer whom I hooked up the bumhole ! Eyup Gary , it's not a new shop m8 , just the first time i've actually gone looking for it , it was in the process of an extension into next door so very much looking foward to Feb and seeing what they have done with it , just set yourself a limit as you could spend a whole bunch of money in there

@@12volt been going to playa blanka for the last 8 or so yrs and the fishing group I was in never mentioned it even my fishing buddies that live there I like the shimano stc rods I've landed some decent fish on them

hello mate , your not kidding i tell ya , I had to limit myself to £200 as the ol' lady was with me , had me eye on a shimano stella ( there so beautiful in the flesh) but think I might have lost some private parts, got some lovely stuff for pike and perch too . Unfortunatley the gopro lost about 10 mins worth of footage as what you saw was only about 1/3 of the stock they are holding I was gutted to find it corrupted ! the best lure fishing shop i've ever been into without a doubt . 👍

I would think the Enhancer would be fine for fishing most of the canaries but the Todos is perfect for the west coast . I have a friend from Ireland whom uses the 3500 and he has no problems atall .👍

For such a tiny feeder stream it holds a cracking head of fish and i've heard rumors there is a good head of large perch and some mid double pike that i'll have to try and locate in October . I find I have the same or more control with the pin , the reason I swapped to a fix spool was 2 fold , 1 - a 20 mph side wind that was making it uncomfortable ( without a line guard) to fish 2 - just to see if it was something to do with the pin . As you can see in the video I still lost fish in exactly the same way on a fixed spool and in retrospect think it was a problem with the fishes mouths . Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

eyup fella , I was sitting here last night while making the video and the exact same thought ran through my head ! There are so many fish that unfortunately have this that maybe there just isn't enough there to get a decent hook hold , As I was using a relatively small size 10 . It's a real shame that these fish get hammered so much !

@@12volt I feel guilty hooking them and tend to avoid places like that if I can mate

TBH I very rarely fish commercials and this is one of the reasons why ! I felt bad for catching them and adding to the problem .

Evening fella , You have to have a licence to fish and it covers all islands in the canarys , they last for 3 years and cost about 30 euros , on Lanza you have to go to Aracifé to get one but i'm afraid I have No idea where you would have to go on Fuerteventura ! TBH i've had one for the past 5 years and never been challenged for it but better safe than sorry really . Sorry I carn't help out more but good luck anyways 👍

Hiya Paul , not sure what they were so pre occupied with but they are mostly filter feeders , so maybe there was a big algae bloom or something , I really don't know but they are so rarely fished for that i'm not sure they really know what bread is , just wish i had some maddies or rag but heyho it's all a learning experience eh! Hiya Jozsef , I did add some oil to my mushed up groundbait , I think that these mullet are so very rarely fished for that they don't really know what bread is ! just wish i had some worms or maddies with me , might have helped with a bit more natural bait . I have caught plenty of them in the past though but it was just one of those days where they were totally preoccupied with filter feeding , maybe there has been a massive algae bloom or something , but we live and learn buddy ! I nearly didn't post the video tbh but I spose it keeps it reel that we don't get fish every time out , I just wanted to share the frustration of having / finding soo many fish but not being able to land one .
