I bought it just because I thought that it matches the sunburst color of the guitar. But people on my band gigs asked me few times if I´m gay because I´m wearing LGBT strap so my band made joke about that and then I decorated the guitar with the text as a joke. I did that to anger easily offended people too I quess...😅

@@Spaceman-h4b I am not having anything planned. The day when I upload videos depends on how much time I have for recreating tones since sometimes it takes long time to find out the right settings. Because before the cover itself I am doing research and trying to match the exact tone so it can take even several hours (maybe even days) before I start recording and then I have to mix it and edit the video so it's not that easy and fast process. So I cannot promise when will be next cover. Sometimes I don't have the mood to do covers even when I have time. 🤷

@@WafflePlayz Thank you very much! The clean tone is in this case surprisingly very depenedent on the unique tone of mustang guitar. So it wasn't that difficult compared to other covers. Again thank you!

@@eLpexy It originally had two P90s. The bridge pickup was hot but quiet compared to neck pickup. So I swapped it for Alnico 2 PAF voiced humbucker with lower impedance (8kOhms). Now I am more than happy with this guitar. For the price you got amazing Mosrite/Hi-Flier tones. From my small collection it's my go to reliable guitar that never lets you down. Thank you very much! 😉

Thank you. Only thing that I miss to make it perfect is the Mosrite or Hi-Flier style tremolo but I´m too afraid to swap it because I would need to rework it completely. I´m worried what I would only make things worse. Again thank you! 😉

@@andreagagliardi1953 It doesn't matter what kind of equalizer it is. It just have to be graphic with several frequncies to boost or cut.

What a coincidence. I´m happy that you like it. Now I think I will do another cover from this show and maybe compare it to some 1991 live tone. The In Utero tour tone wasn´t my favortie but after I tried to play different songs with it I discovered that I kinda like this tone. And I never noticed how loud is Pats guitar tone in this mix. Hehe, this backing track is only one decent that I know. It´s strange that song from Nevermind has got only one good backing track. That cought just became part of the first chorus. 😆

Thank you! I´m just trying to get good Nirvana tones (maybe QOTSA and others in the future) with my gear and setup. Maybe it will inspire someone that even with their cheap gear they can do lot of stuff if they know how to work with it.

For me it doesn´t make sense to upload cover that is without backing track just guitars.

Thank you! Kurt´s tone from this era wasn´t my favorite but after I tried to play with it (even not Nirvana stuff) I discovered that I kinda like this tone. The clean tone is very crispy clean and distortion has so much mids in it. Again thank you!

Thank you! Chasing this distortion tone was fun for me and it unlocked me the path to Nevermind covers because what I tried many Nevermind songs used this kind of tone. So I can reuse those IRs and it kind of made it easier for me for the future covers. Maybe in future I will try to get better clean tone.

​​@@Nvrnmind0Hmm. First I would advise using not that low but lower output (7-9kOhm) P90 or Jazzmaster singlecoils. Then some low gain amp. For me the Vox AC30 worked best. You must find middle point of gain because it must be clean and at the same time it must have some attack to it. And last is good IRs / speakers for clean tone so I would recomend Alnico Blue / Gold, G12T-100 (or G12T-75) and Greenback. It worked for my setup so you don't have to follow these rules. I almost forgot I used little bit of echo and delay in post production to get closer to that slappy sound. I don't use the same gear that Kurt had and that is what I like. You can get similar sound with your gear. Thank you for support! If you have a question I don't have problem of answering it.

Thank you! Chasing this tone was fun for me because I was trying so many IRs and every time I got closer and closer. Now I know what types of IR and setup works and I can reuse those IRs and it kind of made it easier for me on future Nevermind covers...

It´s called SX SE3-SK. It´s guitar from cheap set. Neck pickup is now mustang singlecoil because the original neck pickup si now in the bridge position. Because the original bridge humbucker was too hot and dark sounding so I put there the neck humbucker instead. The reason why there is singlecoil in the neck position is that my friend doesn´t like neck humbuckers and this is his guitar that I am currently repairing.

It´s a combination of things. First is that it´s easier to shoot video because I´m closer to camera so it´s more focused on my guitar. Than I quess is the anonymity and I think that the face in this kind of videos is distracting. Plus I don´t have to bother with my hair so that´s positive. 😅

Thank you very much. In my experience the type of guitar isn´t that important. The main thing is the combination of body+neck and pickups. Because you can make Les Paul sound very close to strat just by putting singlecoils in it. It won´t be exact tone but you can always EQ it and help it to sound like that. But yeah I was pretty surprised too how close it is compared to my guitars. Since this is my friends guitar. Again thanks!

The gear is listed in the video description. But it was combination of accident and long evenings with trying different IRs and playing with equalizer. I think main 3 things that make this tone and pretty much all my covers are: 1. IRs 2. Graphic Equalizer 3. Distortion pedal All covers I´ve done are done with Vox AC15 head from HX Stomp. But I´ve tried it and you can easily make the Vox sound identical to Mesa Boogie Mark head thats in HX Stomp which is basically a brother of preamp that Kurt used live. The thing is if you know your gear very well you can recreate everything. You just need to listen, experiment and main thing play. Thank you very much! 😉

@@Beenstievr It's Mosrite copy by Harley Benton called Mr-Classic. My opinion is that it is copy of Hi-Flier and Mosrite. It has different bridge pickup. I swapped original P90 with Alnico 2 humbucker. It's heavier guitar but it's playability is very good. For the cheap price you will get much more than you pay even that this is rare model of guitar. Thx! 😉

@@Beenstievr The guitar was like for 180$. And the humbucker was for 55$. Now the guitar costs 226$. Still very good guitar. That had very good setup from factory. One thing that I had to do was lower neck pickup and put molytan under bridge pickup to make higher. From factory the neck pickup was lot louder than bridge pickup. After a while I installed humbucker in bridge and now guitar sings so much. Regardless of this the guitar is amazing and one of my most favourite.

It's pickup that is handmade by electrician from country where I live in Czechia that specializes on pickups. It's Alnico 2 humbucker voiced like PAF. It has 8kOhm resistance. And other thing it isn't waxpotted so it has raw vintage sound to it and it feedbacks a lot. I wanted to have pickup in my MR Classic that is close to Hi Flier humbuckers as possible. So I found out that the Univox Pickups are Alnico 2 PAF voiced pickups that have like 6-7kOhm resistance. And I love this pickup because it has very open clean sound that has lot of character. Thank you very much! 😉

@@angutimmm I bought it like a week after it first appeared on Thomanm. Compared to now it was cheaper a lot. I love the P90 in the neck position so I will keep it there. It sounds close to Mosrite Gospel. I always wanted to put tremolo like Hi Fliers have in this guitar but I'm afraid I will ruin the intonation by it.
