You could change the wishbones and put bar risers on it but wishbones may change the handling. It looks like a 600 the 900 is better.

You are very lucky; your carburettors are easy to get at. On my Yamaha Fazer, the carbs are level or straight to the inlet port on the engine and to do any work on them you have to take them off the bike. Can't even get to the inner bowls. The sliders in the carb on mine I polish stoned the sliders, including the guides to make sure they moved like silk, plus a little sewing machine oil helps. Also don't forget to clean the idle air flow, should be a idle mixture screw, take it out but first screw it all the way in while counting how far to screw till you hit the stop. this will mean you put it back in the right spot after you clean it out! You've got spark, so it sounds like it is one of the air passages in the carbs blocked. Just for your info, here is the video of my bike starting up after carb refurb. Hello Gents, nice to be mentioned in dispatches as it were, regarding jacking up, I don’t think it has dog bones, I think you’ll need to fit a longer shock. So when you get to it, measure it and investigate options….. Handlebar risers are a doddle….good luck with this…..Richard

Put your old nuts in the fuel tank with the odd screws and nails and give that fuel tank a good shake. It should knock off all the rust bubbles inside like a small needle gun. Then give it another go with the vinegar and Harpic Black label. That tank isn't done with yet!

I wouldn't be fitting comline quality after going to all that effort. They're cheap for a reason. Always fit quality brake parts, if not oem, the one who makes oem parts, even better if you can find the oem who made them for your car. It could TRW for the mini but not sure. Source: have had multiple failures with comline so will never fit again. Worked out more expensive in the long run. Great video btw, well done!

All the Whites tonight, I started to think that Adam was a secret lemonade drinker! Thankfully that it wasn't 50 shades!! Undercoat can change the top coat, and I remember people on TV saying about such a thing. It is easy to get despondent in a build especially when you're a perfectionist and you want it right, and hindsight kicks you in the backside. It takes a lot to stay motivated when you're in a workshop on your own and the only company is the radio playing the songs that you know off by heart.

Better to replace the head bolts, they do stretch under torquing down. It's all good marking the timing chain but might be a good idea to replace it while you can, chains do stretch as well. There should be a timing mark on the crank shaft pulley or position cylinder No.1 at top dead centre by using a screwdriver shaft sitting on top of the piston. Check the oil seals too on the crankshaft, easier to get to them now. Check the water passages (on the engine!) for clarence of muck. New HT leads will help performance too. Are you going to give the head a bit of porting/polishing, lap the valves, replace the valve stem seals (bronze I think), and are you going to upgrade the exhaust manifold? Might as well check the water pump and oil pump for wear too. Not sure how far you're going with the engine, but the little things that wear out cause the biggest problems. Simples! 🙂🙃🙂😉

Well done guys! It was unusual for Mark to be in front of the camera, but he pulled it off well.

I used hammerite smooth on my front subframe, brushed it on on top of Etch prime & some isopon anti rust primer. Don't like the finish of it, will proberly end up taking it out again for powder coating, it seems to let the dirt get ingrained in it, just doesn't look right when I'm under it. Powder coated the rear subfram & it looks a lot better.... 🤔
