Bobcat coming right up to my tent blind in east Texas
Filmed this bobcat coming right up to my tent blind while I was deer hunting today in the Sam Houston National Forest in east Texas. A gorgeous animal and seeing it was better than seeing the big buck I'm after. Gotta love the great outdoors.

Coolster 110 atv won't start simple fix
Просмотров 181 тыс.9 лет назад
Demonstration of my sons coolster 110 atv repair. It wouldn't start, just made a clicking sound when the start button was pushed. Pulled off the left side engine cover. The starter chain is completely rusted and not free to move. I didn't even have to buy a new one. A little WD40 and working it back and forth loosened it right up. Put it all back together and it fired up on the first crank. Pre...

      I think I can help as I've had mine on and off about 20 times now, lol. There are (on mine anyway) five 8 mm bolts around the perimeter of the cover (they are different lengths so lay them down in the same pattern they came from-- the one on the bottom is hard to see, use a mirror or feel for it), then when all bolts are out, take a smaller flat screwdriver and gently insert in the seam where the cover joins the case and just ease it apart a wee bit- then you have to tug firmly with both hands straight towards yourself as it is held in by magnetic force. You may have to twist and turn it to maneuver it out and away from the case. On my machine the stupid footrest is right in front of the stator cover so I have to really work to get it out of there- usually I have to pull it out towards me, then turn it clockwise and pull it down towards the ground to get it where it clears the footrest and I can lift it out and away. It will still be attached to the wiring harness by the pickup wires coming from the stator so don't tear those out. Also there is a thin gasket that will probably tear- you can order them on Amazon. Hope that helps.

    I usually prefer to deep the chains, after washing in a bath of warm oil. Let it soak nice and well. Hang it to let the excess oil run out. Believe me gives years of trouble free use. ;-)

  • @SlickD217
    @SlickD217 8 лет назад

    not bad little quads just electrical nightmares. most if not all components are interchangeable with crf parts. I replaced the cdi, coil pack, carb all with honda crf parts and she's been running awesome ever since. I'm going to try and rebuild the top end with honda parts as well and hopefully everything is square as these engines are basically exact clones of honda engines. Roketa, taotao, kazuma etc they are all the same exact thing with a different name on them. Little bit of electronic upgrades and occasionally welding back together shitty metal and you're good to go.

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 8 лет назад

      Yeah they're pretty much Honda clone engines. Time to troubleshoot this one again. Repaired the starter and it ran for see real more months for my son. Now though, he was riding it the other day and it just died instantly and won't even turn over when I push the start button. My guess is the cdi box or ignition coil.

    I can't get my starter chain on how do u get it on once you buy a new one

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      You'll have to undo the starter bolts from the right side of the upper part of the engine case, (three bolts I think it was, maybe four) that way its loose. Don't take it off though, just leave it loose. Remove the left side engine case as shown in this video then you will see your starter sprocket. You'll be able to work the chain on sprocket with the starter itself loosened up. Once the starter chain is on the sprocket, tighten the starter back up first. (This may take two sets of hands, one to do some holding) Then put the left side of the engine case back on. Don't forget to double check the bolts.

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      One more thing, when you take off the left side engine cover, you'll be looking at the starter chain. Look to the right side where the chain travels and there is a black rubber chain tensioner part. You can pop that off and when you put your new chain on, slide that piece back on with it. If not, its a pain to try to slide that tensioner back on when the starter chain is already on. And by taking it off, you give yourself a little extra wiggle room to work the starter chain on. If that tensioner is worn out, it will cause some chain slop in there and you'll be able to hear it.

  • @GRO646
    @GRO646 9 лет назад

    I just bought one for my son, the cover you pulled off did it have a fill plug and drain plug? Im not sure if its for looks or does that hold any kind of oil

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      Yes the left side of the engine with the two silver bolt heads you can see. One is for the stator, but don't worry about those. They'll stay in place when you take the cover off. You'll see the stator on the inside when you get it off. May wanna clean it The only hard part is getting the starter chain back on the small sprocket. You have to loosen the starter from the right side to get the chain adjusted. Or at least I did. On my sons ATV shown here, the chain was locked up due to being cheap. A little WD40 fixed it. It's still running great ever since this video was taken with no problems.

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      A lot of problems with these Chinese brands have to do with the starter or starter chain. Good place to start.

    • @alexmtz2557
      @alexmtz2557 9 лет назад

      +raptorman2666 so its something from the starter?

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      It may your starter, but could also be the battery. If you know with 100% certainty that its not the battery, then it probably is the starter or starter chain. The starter chains on these are notorious for seizing up because they're of cheaper metal quality. When my sons (one in video) wouldn't crank up, it just made a single clicking sound when I pressed the start button. I too thought it was the battery, but as the video shows, it was not.

    • @raptorman2666
      @raptorman2666 9 лет назад

      Its a high possibility thats it's the same thing then. I forgot to mention in the video that when you get it apart, even if its not the problem, its still a good idea to lube that starter chain real good. Ive seen a lot of these with a frozen starter chain. I guess due in part to that paper gasket on the cover. With a lot riding, water will get in and rust it tight, then the starter cant spin at all.
