The answer is NO!

2019 vs. 2024 Tesla Model 3 - Worth the Upgrade!
Просмотров 8 тыс.11 месяцев назад
I give my impressions on the reengineered "Highland" 2024 Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor and compare it to my personal 2019 Dual Motor. In my opinion, the new model is a HUGE upgrade. I was blown away driving them side by side. The steering feel, suspension softness, and noise reduction is next level compared to the old model. Combine this with the upgraded interior materials, steering wheel, seats, ...
Tesla Model 3 Long Range - 4th of July Weekend Road Trip

Quick road trip over 4th of July weekend! Headed north to Duluth, MN for a concert, then back south to the supercharger off I35 in Hinkley before heading to the hunting land. Any ideas what could have happened at the supercharger? Randomly started pulling 0kW at the charger, nothing changed until I moved stalls.

    I moved from the cities WAY up north (thinking of moving back down) however, do you actually like having a Tesla here? everyone always tells me the range is trash in the winter, and I guess that depends on commute, but ive watch the couple of Tesla videos on your channel and it looks like you manage just fine getting anywhere with it here even with the limited network. anything someone must know before getting one?

    • @M0toring
      @M0toring 2 месяца назад

      Range loss in the winter is a real thing. But unless you’re driving 200+ miles per day, it’s a non issue. Having a home charging solution will eliminate any worries. I charge on a standard 120v outlet but my daily commute is only 35 miles. If you want an EV, I would recommend only buying a Tesla. The charging infrastructure and ease of use is so far ahead of any other BEV.

    If I were to get a brand new Tesla I’d lease it so I wouldn’t get hit with the massive depreciation that will happen as Tesla prices are always changing.

      Yup. That's how I got my 2024 MYLR with that $7500 lease credit. Even if I get into FSD+PC for the 3 years I got, it'll still be less than a used 2022+ with a salvage title.

    Can't justify going into more debt even if monthly payments would be the same, my 2019 still gives the "Tesla experience" of no gas, fast acceleration, great sound and high tech. Still an excellent car, the new one is just a more excellent car.

    I can't see replacing my model 3 when 2024 uses the same battery pack from 2017, same smelly HVAC, same door handles, and flaky push button turn signals. I think Tesla is going to do a full refresh soon.

    Thanks for comparing these exact two models - they both are of great specific interest. Anyone entering into the used car market, it's good to know that there is headroom down the line for improvement, rather than jumping to Model S.

    But how about if someone is looking into just entering EV and don’t wanna put too much money, is finding used 2019 in good price not worth it in your opinion? Shall one still go for the 2024 model?

    • @M0toring
      @M0toring 10 месяцев назад

      Buying used or CPO from Tesla is worth it, the pre refresh 2018-2020 models are such a great value right now.

      If it's about saving cash, upgrade to min 2021 with power trunk, upgraded console and blacked out chrome trim. If you can easily afford the 2024, just get it. You'll love either one if you're new to Teslas.

      Have you tried using a vehicle without stalks? Nobody complained when Lamborghini or Ferrari did it to their vehicles. The “how am I supposed to change my signal in the middle of a roundabout” argument is silly, nobody does that anyways. From the 2 days that I drove this vehicle it was very livable.

    You aren't testing HDA1. You are testing Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Follow Assist technology which are part of HDA. Highway Drive Assist only works on major highways and allows up to 4 minutes of hands free driving.

    • @M0toring
      @M0toring 11 месяцев назад

      Fair call out, but it makes sense to call it HDA 1 instead of just “HDA” now that HDA 2 exists for Hyundai/Kia products.

    Why do you said probably not better than tesla autopilot on the highway?

    • @M0toring
      @M0toring Год назад

      HDA 1 has its benefits over autopilot, but basic autopilot is still better at lane centering & general safety precautions. HDA 1 will shut off with no response from the driver after a certain period of time, autopilot will bring your car to a full stop. Also engaging autopilot is a more confident experience over HDA 1, which just chooses almost at random when it wants to be engaged, and not.
