I have a 2001 740i, but the phone had been cut out when I got it. Do you know where I could purchase one?
where did you find a sim card that fits?
I’ve got one I my E38 it’s so cool

I have the same phone in my BMW. How did you get it to work? Did you slide a SIM card in somewhere?
Will this phone slip into a BMW 840/850 series?

Habe ich jahrelang als 230/6 gefahren. Nachts auf der Autobahn, ohne Verkehr, bei Vollgas und Tacho 185 war der Tank nach 250 km fast leer.
i have 115.110
habe 200d in rot..gerade geholt..sind top autos
hallo hab einen 240 d läuft leider noch nicht richtig hab ich in den Niederlanden gekauft
this is delightfully retro, and i wonder if there's some way to integrate an OEM carphone with a bluetooth phone link type thing so you literally receive and place calls with this little phone
***** ah, but does it integrate with your smatphone? that's what i was going for. i am aware they can use their own gsm sim card seperately
The phone is old I doubt you will be able to integrate it with your smartphone. that's like asking if a windows 95 computer upgrade to windows 10.
I have seen a vid of a windows 95 pc Being upgraded to windows 10 in like 5 hours of work .
Passenger compartment remains stable up to a certain impact force. Safety cell remains functional
This is why I wouldnt buy a vintage luxury car past 1990 or so. This was cutting edge in (1995?) But useless and weird shortly after. Todays cars seem so with it but will be obsolete and useless within a span of less than 5 years. Long live the mercedes of the 50s to early 80s.
what country are you located in? i wish i could get this to work in my USDM car.
it still works so why not use it.
It's a GSM phone. It should work without a problem in the US on ATT and Tmobile. Most US phones used the old analog AMPS networks which went dark after 2008. Verizon and Sprint were the ones who had these networks. If you can find a car phone that uses a sim card (GSM) there's no reason you can't enjoy this.
AT&T shut down there 2G GSM back at the start of 2017. Will work on T-Mobile though.
So true!
i have a great sortiment of thos extra horns from 335hz till 625 hz in my living room..
Mercedes mit Kult-Status ----- Mercedes with cult status Best ever
I don't know what exactly the mechanics did, but the bill never exeded 150 Deutsch Marks at that time. The good thing about the car was that I had 3 accidents with it. Others were guilty. So I got new 2 new rear wings and 1 new front wings plus new fenders for free. Modern plasic cars suck ;-))
@OmahaBeachMartin you never even adjusted the valves?
I had a 200D (115) from 1983 to 1985. Great car, rugged and reliable. I remember holidays in Monte Carlo and the French Riviera when I sat on the hood, leaning against the windshield and watched the sunset with a bottle of French red wine. You couldn't do that with a modern car without risking scratches and dents. I bought the car with 275.000 km and sold it with about 350.000 km. I only changed the oil and the filters. These cars were intended to last, not like todays cars with computer toys
and a old parr botle fits perfect between the ashtrey and the shifter, i used to put it there while smoking a joint in the way to the nearest beach from my city ,117 km´s in old roads, this at 70 km/hour in third gear
@bofeds , the name of the designer is Paul Bracq
I just got a 250 c from 72 with the 4spd automatic. It has some rust and needs new brakes and a tune up but in general I got mine with very few issues, the engine sounds fine, it's healthy enogh, the same goes for the transmision and the interior is also fine. I hope to get this car fully restored
They were sold under many models. I had a 250 gas engine, 6 cylinder, there was the 280 6 cylinder also but with twin overhead cam, there was also a 4 cylinder 230 , 4 cylinder diesel and a 5 cylinder diesel.
i've got 70' 220
die fanfaren sehen sehr schön aus!
I have a 280CE it has also some rust, but what do you except from a more than 30 yrs old car without any rust protection?
Yeah - i'm restoring a 71 250CE - and it also is full of RUST!!!!
I love my Mercedes 230! I think these were the yuppie cars of the 70s ... like the BMW 3 series were in the 80s. The Merc W114/w115 also had very trendy color selections.
I love this video very much!! I own a '74 W114 230.6 in Hong Kong.
mine is w-144 200' 1975
i have a 1972 220 w115 hearse! and i love it!
This model has it's angles o beauty. In some of them it looks pretty nice. That goes for the front too. I ownt a 1974's w114 230.6. and rare thing is that once you have one you learn to love it. The design lines that goes front the front until the end, the ones that drops the rear of the car down are the inspirations of some more recent models like the E Class, the CLS or the CL.
Im sorry, but this is one of my least favorite Mercs, I love it from the back, but the front not so much, sorry.
