Michael Pendragon
Добавлен 4 июл 2011
Original poetry by Michael Pendragon presented in video format with artwork and music; and an occasional music video by one of my favorite singers (pop standards).
Michael Pendragon (born October 23, 1963) is an American writer, poet, editor, and publisher. He was born in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey (birthplace of the legendary Jersey Devil). He is best known for having published a pair of literary magazines: Penny Dreadful and Songs of Innocence & Experience (1996-2005).
His poetry is often rhymed/metered and employs such devices as internal rhyme, alliteration and onomatopoeia. Death, loss, disillusionment, and decay are the primary themes of his earlier work, while his later work mixes these themes with those of love, nature, and the art of poetry itself. He considers himself to be a Romantic poet in the Byronic tradition, focusing on the individual human spirit and its place in a godless universe.

Nice! I loved the travelogue video, which perfectly matches the lyrics.
Beautiful, and all of those 50s and 60s photos make the words even more poignant.
Excellent jazzy take on the poem.

VamPYRE. Hmmm. I realize others use this unusual spelling too but, Welshman, you're pinging a lot of coinkydinks...
Hahahahahahaaaa... LOVE it.
This is brilliant, atmospheric, M. Pendragon; a Sarabande of poetic form. Very rhythmic and hypnotic! 👻
My poem called Grave yard digger Bound, tangled and tied to this sigil of Baphomet’s trademark that contours your alternate shape with a Billy goats theistic pentagon. Bondages plod an inferior scope inching the dark clad dressings from a cunning practice. Loops hooked an ejected fringe from a black perilous peel from Satan's Bible. Scarfed in ribbons of Oblivion and an intangible sexiness jotting its encryption, arrowed in a dark well of emptiness. Sieve's seeping into the well of copulated gents in the void of their aptitude by a silent division excessing over the uninvited exclaims, possessing your eyes in brimming brimstone. Burning in passion to deflect and impersonate the stark and unveiled access shafting his secular parallel in the depths to primate over with power of what fire is surging through her veins. A tempest of craftsmanship with wreaths bowed to fervently dapple his gray heart beating inside his chest. They jaunt an excursion for pleasure with a contentious bloat feeling their hearts. The Mantle's naked and a composed piece together with incurable conceit. The valleys of rigidity fascination to bend their hearts in a ritual full of tendency. The first time i watched the "Sing Along with Mitch" TV show, the first singer was Leslie Uggams singing "Jambalaya". I can't recall any of the following music, just that one. I wish i could see that show again if it's available.
A lady of extraordinary talent whose singing always personified her beauty and art.
(Heart revoked) Killing cats was never the option.

Didn't she marry a white man?
And that matters because?
@@jjj1951 ; Dwight's just jealous.
Yes, in 1965. They had two children. Australian Graham Pratt is almost 90, still married to and living with Leslie. He was extremely handsome but his acting career was sporadic. At the time, it was near scandalous, much of the flack coming from Pratt's nation. I think your question was just curious, not hateful, but you should have known what reaction you'd get for asking.
hi
