Stained Glass from Design to Installation by Beyer Studio
This series of videos is lovely- thank you for sharing them. My dad is a glass artist (traditional and fused) and we're only an hour from Philly, so we'll come visit your studio soon!!!! (I've also added the St Just factory to the itinerary for next year's trip to Europe)
It was called the Oxford Movement. It was patterned after a AWN Pugin. I wish he had his histrionic’s correct. Pugin stated that Gothic was prayerful, and Georgian was secular. This gentleman rambles on and on, and the while the camera operator could’ve been panning the stained glass windows and sanctuary. He negates to mention Willet Studio, and Thomas Jefferson. …..and I might add Rodman Wanamaker, and John Notman ………..for those who do know the history here. If this guy is a Teacher, can you imagine what our college students aren’t getting for their money?
Super helpful video. I'm wondering what type of tape is used after the removal of the scotch tape?
we have been using 3M #471 clear tape
Many thanks!
This is excellent information, Thanks
Can you show the result on transparent glass? Totally healed or will the crack still be visible?
I fell with my angel and I’d like to get her repaired
Are you in the Philadelphia area?
Do you do repairs
Yes, we do, and full restoration of windows.
excellent Joshua

I feel like I just found an olde cheste withe wonderfule loote ine ite
Curious how to pronounce "Hxtal"
cool
Isn’t this stained glass highlighting ??
Amazing....his expression is so peaceful! Gorgeous talent!
Amazing!
It's takes time but it's worth the wait ! The refinished windows are a night and day difference.
Firstly, may I thank you for posting such an informative video. Secondly, I have tried filling large gaps as per your recommendation but have found that after I remove the excess adhesive with a blade, I am left with a matt surface which detracts from the normal surface of the surrounding glass. Is there any technique to stop this or a way to polish up afterwards?
Hi, this is a reversible technic?
I hope they saved the altars.
Also from NC too
Thanks so much, I'll let the artist know. This is part of the New Stained Glass we made for the new Cathedral in Raleigh.
Beyer Studio out of curiosity do you all do any apprenticeships or anything I’m trying to learn as much as I can about the art.
@@courtneymeadows2416 yes we do sometimes have opportunities, forward letter, a resume and and any photo's of work you may have to the email at our website www.beyerstudio.com
Absolutely stunning 😍 wow!! So much respect.
Exactly what I was about to say!
So do u put the piece in a heated area for a while?
Depending on the time of year, yes, we do move a tray of repairs to the warmest part of the office or leave it on a light box with the lights on.
I am very glad you shared this video and that you guys were able to successfully remove those gorgeous stained glass windows before this building was later abandoned and occupied by homeless junkies who completely trashed what remained. Were the building's windows openings later sealed up to protect the interior from the elements? If so, how? Thanks again for creating this!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the windows at the Church all had clear glass on the exterior that protected the stained glass. All the windows have been or are going to be fully restored and used in other Church projects. Most of the windows are in the new Cathedral in Raleigh NC. A few remaining small windows were adapted and used in a church in NJ. You can find more info at www.beyerstudio.com/cothn.php
Beautiful windows
I can't believe this is happening to my childhood church, I was baptized there went to church every Sunday and holiday and went to school there.

This was the church where I was baptized. This breaks my heart
My childhood parish....many memories...so sad to see its demise. :(
This was incredible, thank you so much for uploading. What a well-oiled machine your studio is!
So Sad to watch. What will cover the windows now?
