Vintage Press Restoration ⚒️
This old and rusty cast iron press was used in ancient times to extract meat juice or also called meat tea. It was a type of broth, made with beef and water, that was given to patients to drink if they suffered from digestive problems, fever or weakness. People believed that tea was nutritious and easy on the stomach, which would help patients regain their former strength.
The benefits of making and drinking beef tea are mentioned in numerous cookbooks from the 19th century.
In this video you will find the restoration of the following materials: cast iron, turned steel and aluminum, applied to Antique Cast Iron Meat Juice Press.
I hope you like this video about the restoration of a rare meat...

Old Hand Water Pump Restoration
Просмотров 19 тыс.6 месяцев назад
A few days ago I went to visit my uncle who sells antiques, he buys them, repairs them and sells them, and among the things he had I found this old hand water pump and I proposed to restore it, and since he didn't have time to repair it, because I had to finish restoring other old tools for the fair of antique objects and cars called AutoClásica, I graciously accepted, but he made it a conditio...
Antique Hand Grinder ⚒️
Просмотров 24 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Looking for something interesting to restore, I found this old crank grinder on the attic shelf. It was all covered in grease and a lot of dust, but it still worked, and I thought it would be a good challenge to make a restoration video. When I began to test the operation I realized that something was not right and it stuck when trying to turn the crank. Disassembling and cleaning the grinder I...
Old Anchico Butcher Kitchen Knife ⚒️
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.8 месяцев назад
How to restore this kitchen knife? I found this old cleaver stored in an old drawer, it is an old butcher's ax or also called a meat axe, this old manual tool was used for butchering meat. Restoring the old blade involved removing rust, repairing broken parts, filing, sanding, polishing, and making a new Anchico Colorado handle, among other things. How to restore this rusty knife? The knife was...

Hello, Thanks!!!
@@RedRustRestoration I like to restore old knives as well for a hobby love watching videos like yours to motivate me
@@simonboyden7868 Hi, go ahead, if you really like it, do it 💪, here you will have a subscriber to support you!!! Greetings
So much patience with all of the hand sanding in the uneven surfaces. I commend you for that. 😅 But maybe press something that is not steak… like oranges or lemons? It’s okay. I love a twisted sense of humor. Your viewers will definitely remember your odd choice of food to press maybe as much as than your sanding & polishing skills.
Hello, thanks for the comment hahaha, but it was really what it was used for in ancient times, I share with you a description of a museum about meat presses. oshawamuseum.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/artefacts-about-the-meat-juice-press/ I'm glad you liked it, greetings
Better than new.
Thank you!!! 👍
Ya know, despite everyone bitching about the music, I actually enjoyed the middle part! "ASMR" restoration channels are everywhere these days, and maybe you just didn't hit the target with that first song (or last) but I think it could be a cool change to watch a talented restoration artist like you, and some good uplifting acoustic/ambient music or low-fi in the background! I say keep the music, just narrow it in a bit more; it should compliment the video, not detract from it, ya know? If you ever need some advice or help, feel free to hit me up! Keep up the damn good work my friend, I am digging what you're putting out in the world 🤘🏼 and eagerly awaiting the next awesome restoration!
Hello, thank you for your comment, yes, that was a bit of the idea but I think I used the wrong music and many asked to remove it, and this is also about seeing metrics and trial and error, but I am evaluating your idea and I think it is very good the recommendation. I really appreciate your comment, thank you very much.
Nice video, but the music. Christ, it sucks. But great restoration.
Hello, the new videos are without music. Thanks for the comment
Very nice looking fruit juicer.
Hello, I'm glad you liked it, Thanks!!!
Beautiful job. You clearly worked very hard on that, and it definitely paid off!
Hello, yes it was hard work 💪💪!!! Thanks
Looks great, keep it up!
Thanks 👍!!!
What a great idea to tape your bolts to keep them from being scratched by the tightening process! I've watched at least several hundred restoration videos and have never seen anyone do that. An observation: While My Mechanics is considered by many to be the 'top dog' of RUclips restorations, I consider Awesome Restorations to be an ideal template for those in the process of building their channel. You are already showing good progress.
Hello, thank you very much for your observation, I always try to innovate in different techniques or in the focus I give to the video. If they are both great restoration channels, I hope one day to be at that level. Thank you so much
Que trabajo perfecto.que bueno ,exelente!!!!
Muchas gracias 😀!!!!
Mis felicitaciones. Un trabajo genial
👍👍👍 Muchas gracias!!!
Possibly the best filing job I've seen on a restoration video. I hope you can increase your output as you have talent in this area.
Hello @yana1955, I really appreciate your comment, I love that you liked it. Thank you so much

Eu achando que fosse um explemedor de limão 😂
Olá, quando vi ser restaurado pensei a mesma coisa, mas quando investiguei a história descobri que servia para fazer suco de carne, incrível mas real. Saudações

Obrigado, saudações
It’s probably a duck press, but most likely a juice press.
Hello, if you want I can share a brief description of a museum about meat presses. oshawamuseum.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/artefacts-about-the-meat-juice-press/ Regards

Turned out looing great!

Good restoration but I still think it’s a citrus juicer.
If you want, here is a brief history explained by a museum. oshawamuseum.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/artefacts-about-the-meat-juice-press/ Greetings
Very good! I'm from Americana SP Brasil.
Thanks!!! I love Brazil, I love its beaches. Greetings
Awesome, nice finish!
Thanks!!!
Great work but please get rid of the music.
Yes, all the new videos are without music, only ambient and work sound, you can see it in the new video: ruclips.net/video/fvHxZ5G9sos/видео.html Thanks for the comment, greetings!!!
Great job!!! Well done!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you!!!

Que bien te vendría un tornito. Pero se que es una gran inversión. Saludos!
Si, estaría buenisimo, pero por ahora esta dificil. Saludos!!!

Hola, faaaaaa!!! espero estar a la altura de tremendos canales. Muchas gracias por el aguante!!!!
what an amazing job on the alluminio
Yes, it is incredible what is hidden beneath a layer of years of dirt and rust. Thank you
May be I'm wrong but I think, it's a press for lemons, not for meat. Why should I press meat? For a better taste the juice should kept inside the meat.
Hello, that would seem like it at first glance, but if you read the description of the video or Google "Antique Meat press juice" you will see what it was used to extract juice from meat. Thanks!!!
I've read the describtion but it won't change my opinion.
oshawamuseum.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/artefacts-about-the-meat-juice-press/
Imagine being so wrong 😂
Do you not squeeze your meat? Ever?
No lead paint test. Fail. 👎
No painted parts come in contact with food.
Exactly, only aluminum that can be boiled before use is in contact with food. Thanks
@RedRustRestoration You really don't understand, do you? You were grinding, filing & wire brushing on paint that you didn't test for the presence of lead... That means that you decided to expose yourself, your family, your pets & your local environment to possible lead contamination. You show no sense of responsibility for your actions. 👎
Yes, I understand, but how do you know I didn't test before performing the restore?
@@RedRustRestoration Because if you had performed a lead test, you would have shown it as part of the process of restoring old items that may have lead paint... You must be aware that some of your viewers look at your videos to help them repair or restore their own items. Edit: Watch other restoration channels who are responsible & show that lead testing is an important part of any restoration.
A real man juices a steak….lol 😅
Thanks!!!
